Personally I'm not sure about the rumoured Android powered PSPhone.
I'm a huge Android lover and love everything I can do with my rooted phone and am happy spending 5 minutes at a time on breaks etc. with the small downloadable games like Angry Birds or Paper toss but when it comes to proper games that I want to sit down and play for a while....that's when the PSP gets turned on.
We'll see what they come up with I guess.
My favourite game of the year was God of War 3...such an epic game.
As for news, the official announcements of inFAMOUS 2 and Uncharted 3 were my personal favourites. Those are my 2 favourite new IP's this gen on any platform and as for 3rd party game news...Arkham City's announcement was a personal highlight.
I've bought a good few games on Steam during this sale and haven't had time to play them really lol...I'll get through em at some point though.
Some great deals, plenty of games for that rainy day now too or for when there's a ton of boredom.
I check the new deals every day religiously too....I'm hoping they put up the BFBC2 vietnam DLC on sale before it ends!
It's all about the games really. I like Multiplayer now and again but my gaming love was always either an awesome single player game and local split screen co-op like back when I was a kid.
Local split screen is hard to come by these days but awesome single player games are certainly not in any shortage when it comes to my PS3. I've got 3 God of War games to play, soon to be 3 Uncharted games, 2 inFAMOUS games, Heavenly Sword (short or not, game is good), Heavy Rain,...
I'm not sure you'll get droves of people converting from 360 to PS3 but what I think is an absolute certainty is that as the PS3 keeps pumping out awesome exclusives like Uncharted, Killzone, Resistance, Gran Turismo, inFAMOUS to name but a few then people will be drawn into owning a PS3 to compliment the 360 they already own.

Loving t he footage, it's of a level we've seen a lot of but there is a few unseen parts to it which is kinda cool.
I know I'm going to love the gameplay but I remain unconvinced with the new voice for Cole...will reserve final judgement on that until I play through the game though...just doesn't seem to fit him in that video though.

At the moment it really is only a matter of time until the PS3 overtakes the 360 on a world wide basis. What will you hold onto when that happens? And I don't mean to sound fanboyish about it but ...
inFAMOUS wasn't delayed at all, in fact the release date for the game was actually brought forward from June to May.

I never played Crackdown 2 so won't comment on it.
I did play Prototype and in comparison to inFAMOUS I thought it was garbage. A great idea poorly executed I thought and I'm someone who was looking forward to Prototype for a couple of years with bated breath.

I'm not buying this "MS waits til E3" crap anymore. Look at last E3, they announced no exclusives for the core gamer that we didn't already know about.
This E3 of course could be different but I highly doubt there will be a slew of exclusives announced for the first time that will be released in 2011.
It's cool that you are looking forward to those 3 games on 360 more than anything else, I'll never criticise anyone's genuine opin...
In terms of games we know are being released in 2011, the PS3 is releasing more exclusive games that I personally am interested in.
I've no planned 360 purchases until Gears 3 is released.
Don't particularly care tbh, if I do buy this game it'll be on PC or PS3 as I don't plan on renewing my gold membership any time soon.
Why is this guy calling Uncharted a family friendly version of Gears of War? Uncharted isn't even in the same genre as Gears of War.
One is a dedicated Third Person Shooter and the other is an Action Adventure game.

I dunno man, the Desu Ex: Humen Evolution trailer was pretty damn amazing and I've never played a Deus Ex game.
The Live Action Reach trailer was pretty sweet but definitely not my own personal best. The Deus Ex trailer or the Arkham City trailer are my own personal favourite trailers.

Steam sales are amazing and I'm pretty sure they couldn't sell digital versions of the games at those prices without the publisher consenting to it or getting whatever cut they need/want from the sale.

Well they don't want to confuse consumers according to Hirai so I can't see me playing God of War: Ghost of Sparta on a PSPhone or MGS, that is exactly the kind of thing that would confuse consumers and have them asking what the difference is.
Not us of course, we're clued in on this stuff but the mass market would be but if you put what the PSP2 will be able to do on top of a top end Android phone, I'd be all over it. I can't see it happening though.
