Totally disagree with your comment on how much pc gamers spend on their pc every month. The I built a top end gaming rig a little over the years ago and it is only now starting to show signs of age.

Hence why I said mine is getting a little dated.

Someone call Captain Obvious.

I might get this on PS3, my PC is starting to become a little dated now and don't have the cash to be building a new one just now, otherwise it'd be on PC.

Devil May Cry, Onimusha, Ratchet & Clank would be top of my list I reckon.

Not surprised, the Japanese seem to be crazy for handhelds in general.

Yeah the only software they excel at is games, otherwise they are very below par and that isn't just the PS3 but things like their Walkman as well.

For example I bought one of their touch screen (I think) X Series walkmen and whilst it was great, it was missing an absolutely HUGE feature to me which is the ability to create custom playlists on the fly.

It's sad because their hardware for evertyhing they make is top notch but software lets them down he...

It's nice to get those details from Jaffe, most developers just say "more time needed to polish" and that's it. Jaffe I think after hearing him speak on his blog videos and stuff actually cares about releasing a product which is as good as it can be and polished to a level where his customers would be satisfied with it and I applaud that to be honest.

You can bet your ass that there would be so much more rage if they released a broken game than there is beca...

I don't think Microsoft are interested in buying development studios so they can nurture first party gaming innovation, they've shown that by closing studios and being more interetsed in shelling out money to secure timed exclusivity on games and on DLC while their own big studios just pump out sequels to their already established franchises.

This is a shame, as I've always said I would love MS to give me a reason to give them my money by banging out first party d...

If they make any money out of selling this game then I will have lost all faith in humanity. Doesn't matter if it's a Kinect ot Move or Wii game or whatever else that has nothing to do with it tbh....but wow, seriously?

There are quite a few amazing looking ones on the horizon.

You know Sev as I was reading that post from Jaffe, the thought going through my head was "cool, I'll have time to spend with the other games coming out that I want to play, go ahead and polish your game a bit more while I'm busy Dave."

Steam is absolutely awesome, it as a platform is probably why I buy games on my PC.

The sales on steam are also amazing.

The article actually makes a really good point about how there should be multiple bundles. A R3 one, a Uncharted 3 one, maybe a GT5/Motorstorm one etc. - a bundle to cover all genres

Last I checked you weren't forced into buying proprietary accessories for the PS3 though. Don't think MS force you into their USB sticks either but I think the point was that things like being roped into buying crap like a play & charge kit, or a wildly overpriced hard drive or wifi adapter spring to mind.

What success to Activision have with MMO's?

The only MMO's that Activision have under their control is WoW and they had absolutely nothing to do with that game. They just bought a cash cow.

Windows is no less secure than most other operating systems. The problem is it is more widely used so more hackers target it giving the illusion that it is less secure.

If OSX ever becomes the dominant OS for home users and enterprise then the same thing will happen to it.

I'll be getting the next Playstation for this reason. Despite the issues the PS3 has had during it's life, every iteration of the Playstation console has always delivered quality games across every genre, I've never been let down (apart from like 2007 with the PS3).

And again, as for the xbox 3 or w/e it gets called, it depends totally on the games. Deliver on those and I'll gladly buy one.

It depends if Microsoft change their strategy and attitude as to whether or not I get the next Xbox.

Of course I am IMMENSELY interested to see it when they eventualy announce it to find out what it can do and what services etc. it hooks into but I'd really want to be seeing if their attitude to developing games that sets their console apart from the others changes. At the end of the day I'm buying a games console to play games on and that is the one area that will co...

Hoping for a release date at Gamescom in the next couple of weeks.

I might not get the Vita day 1 but as soon as I have the cash I'll be buying it, it's great new updated hardware and it can play all the games I own for my PSP Go which to me is a HUGE deal.

I almost brought them up myself tbh. The reason why is that one of the big criticisms of MS this gen has been that they have been more content to buy content from developers to make them multi platform, to secure exclusive DLC or get some kind of timed exclusivity on games and more recently on DLC (Call of Duty) rather than actually nurture first party developed games and create new IP.

The closest thing they've done to that has been Alan Wake, something they don't do...
