It might be overrated in some people's opinion because people have different tastes.
In my own humble opinion, I think the first 2 Uncharted games are absolute masterpieces and the evolution that took place between Drake's Fortune and Among Thieves is quite astounding.
I'm sure Drake's Deception will also be a superb addition to the franchise and November cannot come soon enough.

Is he basing this off the original Xbox? Because I don't remember the PS2 starting to drop off in year 3 or 4.
Without even mentioning specific consoles, I just disagree with that statement. The PS3, a console people said was doomed only started to really take off coming up to year 3 is a pretty good example of that statement not always being correct...
Anyone looking at what figures people announce and taking them for what they seem to be is an idiot.
For instance there are people out there with multiple PSN accounts, I have a UK and a US one, others will have those along with a Japanese PSN account just to get access to the various stores. Then there is the issue of how many accounts are active.
For the 360 numbers...8 million Kinect units...would those be to retailers or consumers? I somehow doubt that is...
You know the symbols that appear on the buttons are Playstation Trademarks right?
Not to mention the hardware we have seen so far may not be final, additional branding could be added to final retail units.
Now maybe it is, maybe t isn't...we'll need to wait and see but there is more evidence to suggest it is than there is it not being a Playstation phone.

I swear if it's all Kinect centric and there aren't good, 360 exclusive (not available on PC also) games for the core gamer that actually interets me then I think I might be done with the console. As it stands the only 100% certain game I have planned to buy for my 360 is Gears 3 which I will play regardless, but if there's not much else then I'd prefer to trade the thing in for a couple of PS3 games or something that I'...
It is t he formula, but there is absolutely no way epic storytelling applies to the Gears of War franchise, and arguably to Halo despite both games having absolutely superb gameplay.
You can't argue with his formula though...I just wish they made more exclusives that followed that formula is all.
And why is yet another journalist listing Xcom as a 360 exclusive....it's not.
Last time I reformatted my machine and installed Arkham Asylum on Steam I had to sign into my LIVE account (use the same one for GFWL as I do for Xbox) and had to download an update and install it....I had to do this like 3 times at least before actually being able to complete the login process and actually play the game. I wouldn't have bothered with it but I was forced to in order to be actually able to save my game. Ridiculous.

It's nice to see a developer really pushing themselves and their tools to the limit, with 3 weeks to release they must have been shitting their pants about having to delay the game at the last minute.
Not expecting any massive gaming announcements here.
I'm more hoping to see some more Android tablets running Honeycomb and perhaps details on the Playstation Phone.
Didn't they remove an internal processor from Kinect for the final build?
Considering the really cool stuff people have done with it on PC's after hacking it, you have to wonder what that internal processor on it would have allowed the system to do.
And I've really been considering that Sharpshooter attachment for Killzone 3 and for Socom 4....could be very cool indeed and you can sit down with it.
Such a bad demo...the Forza Kinect demo going around the car was the same where it was either recorded or just insanely laggy.
Check out the response at like 1:10....the wheel turns like almost 2 seconds after the guy doing the demo makes the gesture. Either lag or poor timing on his part getting ahead of a recording. I don't have any plans to even turn it on until Gears 3 comes out and I really wish that wasn't the case. I love top class exclusive games, exclusives have been my favourite games this generation and that goes for both the PS3 and 360.
I just wish MS would have more 360 exclusives and by that I mean not on PC either...if it's also on PC then I am probably buying it there instead as it's cheaper on PC and there are no online fees to pay.
Which PS3 games also show up on the PSP?
There are PSP versions of some PS3 franchises like LBP or Motorstorm or Metal Gear but you really don't get the exact same game showing up on the PSP as it does the PS3.

Avatar Kinect, which they go on to say will be an xbox live update rather than a game release. They really just included that in an article entitled "12 Amazing Xbox 360-Exclusive Titles For 2011" - that is ridiculous.

A bit of a bargain but calling the bundle "Ultimate" isn't a good name for it at all imo.
If you're going to make an "Ultimate" edition you wait until Gears 3 is coming out, bundle in the first 2 games and all the DLC along with the retail release of Gears 3.
Now THAT would be an Ultimate edition!
I think that would be a fantastic deal for people who haven't yet made the dive into Gears of War or missed one of the games or something like that.

Not intuitive when you're sitting down playing this kind of game, not to mention as it HAS to be played with buttons, a button based control scheme for those kind of actions are both easier and more intuitive considering you're on your back side playing the game.

Not to mention Microsoft have said time and time again that Kinect was not developed with these kinds of games in mind. They want these kind of games to remain played with a controller as they are better that way and to create different kinds of games and experiences for Kinect.
Yet somehow these people forget this despite that they probably mentioned it in an article...
