NX needs to be at the very least on par with PS4. Now we can get started.
1- Needs to have full 3rd party support and 3rd party exclusives
2- Launch with a lot of 1st party games (Metroid, F-Zero, Zelda, Mario, A new IP, etc.)
3- Good online system, parties, voice chat, games tied to online account, achievements, etc.
4- As much I love the GamePad, unless they can make them really cheap they should probably drop it for traditional controller. Innovate with soft...
"NX, which will be officially releases next year" - talk about spreading false information...the article itself says "which will be officially REVEALED next year." No one knows anything about the NX. It could release next year, or maybe in 2017. There is no "official" with the NX yet other than that it exists in some form.
Video games the cause of increased violence? I don't think so. I play AC and Injustice on a regular basis, and I'm not making a hidden blade to assassinate that one annoying kid down the road. If anything my most relaxing time is when I play video games. Why don't they do a study of people who play video games and people who don't and check their history of violence? Oh wait, because they already did research on this subject...the results? Video games don't make you viole...
Hmm maybe I'm just not looking close enough, just looked to me like they were just standing there. Happy that I'm wrong though, will definitely be picking this game up.
The game looks great and all, but it seems like the creatures don't even fight back, they kind of just stand there and let you hit them.
And why is the WiiU tagged in this?
Well PC is different since you literally have the whole internet to buy games and stuff. With a game console there is a dedicated shop controlled by the company, so the eShop in this case, where prices are always high. There are no websites to download games from on a dedicated home console.
Yeah the no disc drive thing has me a little worried about the NX. Achievements are alright though, it shows that Ninty is pushing more towards a well developed online system.
All digital is bad because of one main reason: The Price. Anyone been on the eshop lately? Most of the big name games are still at $60, while O can go to Amazon and get them for $20-$30. Or get a deal on eBay or some sale at bestbuy. If it goes all digital then that's all gone. And a lot of people (including me) prefer a physical copy of the game.
It's probably NX because it states it's for a "stationary" console. It's not a portable. Or maybe Ninty ...
The difference with that is that Xbox an PS release their consoles at the same time, both starting a new generation, while NX is launching right in the middle of one which can't do much against already well established consoles. I want the NX to do well, but I guess we'll find out in a couple of years.
I thought I explained it pretty well, but let me try again. All those millions who haven't bought a current gen console have very little reason to go for an NX. PS/XB this gen are already very well established, and most are probably planning on getting one. If the NX happens to be more powerful it'll cost more too, and people will probably just get a cheaper PS4 until an even more powerful PS5 comes out a couple of years after NX.

The NX seems set to fail no mater what they do. If it's on par with PS4/XBone, no one will buy it because most already have a PS4 or XB1, no reason to get a Nintendo Console. If it's more powerful it would have to be way more powerful or PS/XB gamers would just say I'm not gonna spend a few hundred more dollars for a console slightly more powerful than mine.

No it's not worth it for the single player alone. While it is really fun, the majority of the game is online. It was made to be an online shooter, so don't waste your money if you're just looking for single player experiences. There's an update coming though that allows you to play with your friends online on the same team, all online though so so he or she will have to have his or her own WiiU.
This article takes it a little too far. How about instead of pulling out of E3 just make next years one amazing? Yes Nintendo has been screwing up a lot the past few years, but their E3 rpresentstions have been relatively good (except for 2008 and this year). In fact last year Nintendo had an amazing E3.
I think the gamepad is a great controller, but clearly was released a generation too early (costs too much) and is a little clunky/low end. And the fact that they didn't utilize it as much as they should/could have. I wouldn't mind if the NX had a more modern gamepad, as long as it didn't raise the cost too much, which is basically impossible so nevermind. Recreate the Pro controller with analog triggers and release a modern GameCube controller.
It's not based off Android...There was a very vague rumor about it and Nintendo debunked it. If it's underpowered again and is what you think it may be then I won't be buying Nintendo ever again.
In order to get my money NX needs a better online system (Games tied to account, party chat, and all that good stuff). It has to be more powerful than PS4/Xbone, a lot more powerful. Wth that it needs third party support, exclusives and multiplat, and they have to be better than PS and XB. And of course lots of first party titles.

You do know Miyamoto confirmed that it's coming to WiiU right? Though it is possible they'll pull a Twilight Princess. Well Zelda is no longer a system seller for WiiU, by the time it comes out NX will be on its way and they'll be little reason to buy a WiiU. NX better be the most powerful console when it releases and have a traditional controller, just use the pro controller Nintendo, and add some analog triggers. Gamepad is fine in my opinion but would probably make it cost too ...
That's probably the smarter decision, but then us 10million WiiU owners are gonna feel cheated, and many of us won't buy the NX due to Nintendo giving us the middle finger. I still probably would buy it simply because I can't miss a Zelda game, but I bought a WiiU specifically for Zelda, so even if they do a joint release on both NX and WiiU I would be a annoyed, cause the one game I wanted is on the next generation console and I could've saved $300 by waiting.
Yeah I never have any problems with them either, though I do admit I have some insanely fast internet speeds. it would seem that it's just a bunch of western noobs that just need to #getgudd. I see their complaints on miiverse all the time, makes me laugh. I honestly never use blasters or ink brushes, I just stick with my NZap '85.
