Yeah, there probably will be at least 1 or 2 new WiiU games, but not showing off new hardware at the biggest gaming event is a mistake, they need as much publicity on the NX as they can get.
March 2017 is fine for a release date, but the main problem now is their E3 showing. Seriously, no NX reveal at E3? That's the dumbest move possible. No one besides hardcore Ninty fans are even going to know about it. Especially when we consider the fact that Nintendo has sucked at advertising for the past few years.
And probably no new WiiU games until March, as they even stated Zelda is releasing simultaneously on both consoles in March, and that E3 will basically be ...
Zelda would disagree.
Not every game has to have multiplayer. Some games are meant for just single player experiences. Assassins Creed for example or Fallout, and of course Legend of Zelda.
The real Nintendo fans are playing video games rather than wasting time pointlessly arguing with Nintendo haters and whiners.
These companions are important to the story. Zelda is a story driven game...
Anyhow not all that many people "hate" these companions. Most people joke around about it, but getting rid of them for the sake of satisfying a small percentage of people is dumb. Midna in Twilight Princess is a big character and important to the story. Skyward sword had a slightly annoying companion at times, but I feel like the story would be worse if they hadn't included her.
*WiiU
The thing is they aren't neglecting their core gamers, if anything the Wii is one of the most core Nintendo consoles around. They're releasing as many of their core franchises as they can this generation.
And the next generation? They recently released an article stating they spent over 500 million in R&D for their next Gen. Where's the neglect? They are using their resources for their core gamers.
Miitomo is the app that crashes everytime I open it...
First off this isn't useless, as they already have over 3 million downloads on the first night. Second, this doesn't take up much of their time/resources because it was developed for Nintendo by a separate company. Most people who have it agree that it's a fun passtime.
The mobile industry is huge and continues to grow, it would be stupid for Nontendo not to enter into it.
@RustedMan it was debunked by the people who creates the fakes. They cane out and admitted they were masterfully photoshopped by themselves.
This is what happens when people assume rumors to be fact. One rumor about WiiU production ending and "journalists" drink it in. Rumor was just debunked by Nintendo themselves. Please, do research first and don't assume a rumor is true. Thats how we end up with articles like this.
Not to mention I've probably seen hundreds of "WiiU is officially dead" articles in the last year or so. They pop up at least 3x a week.
I swear articles like these are written be purely for sparking a flame war in the comment. WiiU has good 1st party games, we know. They're lacking in 3rd party, we know. Low install base, we know. The same things are getting repeated over and over again and we're all getting tired of hearing it.
Took me so many hours just to find the dungeons in the original lol. That's what's so great about it, no handholding, just explore the world and figure it out yourself. Many games these days are too easy and have too much handholding/hints.
@TheUndertaker85
Again, What does Sony have to do with this? While the third party issue is important, it has nothing to do with this article. Not to mention that "throwing money" at third party devs isn't a good strategy either.
They aren't simply "throwing money" at the olymipcs. They're investing in their own theme park that is sure to make them millions/billions that in turn will be used to better their gaming consoles.
They said it was delayed to 2016, so I expect it'll come in 2016. The year has only just begun, no need to worry.
A release date
Could be the handheld releasing in 2016, console in 2017, or both in 2016. We'll see what happens when they announce it.
Wow! More speculation articles about "everything we know" about NX. We don't know anything other than the fact that it's Nintendo's next console or handheld. Let's hold off on these unless we get some official news or a leak from a reliable source.
It doesn't teach us anything about NX because it was made for and released on WiiU.
It's because if they start releasing their mainstream games on mobile, their handheld business will be obsolete. And they're all about their handheld business.
