Time will tell but some fans of the original might buy a Wii U plus Wii U owners wanting an M rated game will too since there aren't loads of competing games on Wii U. It just might surprise people! If people don't want to buy the system they can do what the developer said!

They do really need to advertise. I see no commercials in Canada and they've got big games coming out now! The only way to entice people is to let them know about games and bundles. Shouldn't be that hard to figure out.

Also, a New Direct would be a great way to get news out and follow that with ads. They always get some press with the Directs and it'd be great to start it off and maybe throw in a surprise!

Nintendo needs to advertise as well. Where are the ads coming up to Christmas and the launches of PS4 and Xbox One? That's what they need to do and more big games. We also need to have another Nintendo Direct VERY soon with some big shocking surprises like a new Metroid or Star Fox game in the works for example. Something fans are waiting for and maybe a clip or two of Zelda U. They need to do something quickly to get some attention - positive attention that is.

I agree there are many more games they should be releasing instead of obscure games from way, way back in their library. What's with Pinball when we have Zen Pinball 2, tennis when we're about to have Wii Sports Club tennis and baseball? We also need to see a new Direct soon and maybe some surprises of games we heard of early this year maybe with release dates, games out sooner than expected perhaps, new game we haven't heard of yet etc, maybe info on when N64 and Gamecube games...

'Hardcore' gamers love to complain about Mario, Zelda, Donkey Kong and other games Nintendo keeps putting out yet they will buy annual COD, AC and other games on other systems and that's okay? Why is that okay but Nintendo 'runs out of steam' by releasing games people love that sell in huge numbers? We also see endless comments by people that say Nintendo needs to release kiddie games on PS3/360 or PS4/Xbone. What's up with that? It seems they just can't bring ...

All those are great points! The only way they 'ran out of steam' is getting games out when Wii U launched. However, since August they've released Pikmin 3, WW HD, Wii Party U and soon Wii Fit U, Wii Sports Club, Rayman Legends (in Japan), Mario & Sonic Olympics, Super Mario 3D plus a bunch coming in 2014. As you said they are not running out of steam but were slow to the table and that's the issue now. However, they do need to up the advertising. Where is it? A new D...

I do think we are starting to see them take responsibility - slowly though. They've had Pikmin 3, Zelda Wind Waker HD and soon Wii Party U, Wii Fit U, Wii Sports Club, Mario 3D World leading up to Christmas. 2014 has a bunch of games too and I'm looking forward to them. We also have some good 3rd party ones too with Batman, Lego Marvel, Assassin's Creed 4 among them.

One thing I'd like to see from Nintendo is advertising. Where is it? This is an importa...

What is your point?

I have a feeling that we'll see a lot of that with the new systems - people hesitating to upgrade. Sales are going to be crazy at the start for sure (Wii U was too) but then MS/Sony have to keep it up and convince gamers to buy the new systems. It could be tough when games continue to be released on the current systems. Most people I know with PS3/360 have no interest in upgrading yet. The market is really tough at the moment and is different for sure than it was 7 years ago.

There is lots to pick from this week and finally for Wii U there are a bunch of things all at once - Deus Ex & Lego Marvel Tuesday, for kids Just Dance Kids & Spongebob on Tuesday as well. Friday is Batman & Wii Party U.

Something for everyone finally. The next few weeks are going to be like that too.

In any case, Batman & Lego Marvel for sure!

I really like the gamepad controller. It's great having stuff off the tv screen and looking down temporarily is not an issue once you get used to it. I really didn't like playing games with the wii remote and nunchuk so I didn't play much on the wii. Since getting the Wii U I've played more than before and games I never tried before like AC3, Batman Arkham City, Injustice Gods Among Us, Mass Effect etc that were not (or would never be) available on Wii. I'm looking for...

People who own it and are bashing it are just fed up waiting for games I guess. I love my Wii U as I'm now able to play games I never could before like AC3, soon AC4 and next year Bayonetta 2. I like it as well as I can play it with younger gamers I know and friend/family who are casual gamers. In the meantime I play games I've loved since I had a Colecovision in the 80s and ones I played since. I think Nintendo will be fine as they do, in some ways, cater to a different market th...

It's true about the name. I often find myself calling it the Wii so people know what I'm talking about. Wii HD or something would have been better. I do think selling the Wii still in stores is hurting sales too. If there are games for Wii but only one system to buy people would be forced to buy the Wii U - even if at the start it was to play an old Wii game - and then would see there are new games.

One thing that needs to happen right away is advertising. Wher...

Where do you get this worldwide sales of 25K from? The Wii U is selling again since WW HD was released and the price dropped. Big games are coming out for the system now so gone are the days of no games for it. In fact, this week alone has 6 games coming out. Next week several more and same thing into November.

I could see the others releasing on multiplatforms before Nintendo - not that any will. Nintendo continues to make tons from hardware and software sales and has loads of cash on hand. Sony took forever to see a profit from PS3 consoles. We have no idea how long it'll take from costs to make and release PS4 and Xbone. Meanwhile Nintendo continues to sell tons of 3DS units, Wii U is starting to sell more and has tons of big games coming and 3DS has huge games out now too. That means pr...

Nintendo is going to be putting out games in full 1080p 60fps games like SSB, MK8, Bayonetta 2, WWHD etc - on Wii U. They have no need to put them on PS4/Xbone just as Halo will never be on PS4 for example.

It's so true the haters bash Wii U and Nintendo for kiddy games YET they're the dreamers who incessantly continue thinking Nintendo will publish on Sony and MS platforms.

4476d ago 11 agree4 disagreeView comment

If you want Zelda HD or Mario you'll be getting Wii U someday. Nintendo will never be publishing on Sony or MS. Move on from that dream!

4476d ago 10 agree3 disagreeView comment

Selling to apple? why would they do that? they won't be going software only EVER nor handheld only. Things are starting to turn around and anyone wishing for Mario or Zelda on another system is deluded - seriously.

Europe also has 3 bundles in November too. I'm hoping that they do announce more for NA perhaps a Wii Party U or Mario 3D World one.
