This time it's all in English. Hopefully they mention the release date or at least more than 2015 in this Direct.
Hopefully it is powerful with 3rd party support and comes with a pro controller as well as a gamepad one. The Wii and Wii U have been backwards compatible and if Nintendo goes that way again there will have to be a gamepad with it or Wii U games will be not be possible.
Whenever it is released hopefully they are in talks now to have big games released on it both 1st party and 3rd party. Enough of having developers say, like EA, that they're partners and then put out c...
Personally I'd like to see Bayonetta but I do still like Rayman Legends. Funny to see Ubisoft reaching out to Nintendo gamers after all they pulled lately! Good luck with that. Then again maybe Nintendo will be able to improve relations with some 3rd party developers if fans vote their character into the game. Anything can happen I guess.
Who knows if now there will be a Mario game in 2015? After all Nintendo previously said there would be a Legend of Zelda game in 2015 and that's been pushed. Time will tell and we'll see what they do at E3 in a couple of months.
There are lot of things they could announce but the DLC for Mario Kart keeps me going back to it. Maybe they can create some based around characters that are popular in the SSB voting that's going on now. Some of the ones that don't end up in SSB could be put into MK instead so that we get to play as those characters somewhere or maybe they'd be in both. Endless possibilities for what they can show at E3 - Mario will no doubt be in somewhere with it being the 30th anniversary. ...
What's in it for Nintendo? Advertising a character for MS when they release it on Xbox One? Release it on Wii U as well and then it might make sense. Characters already on Nintendo platforms make more sense.
We should have the choice to use it or not. Nintendo is being like somebody's parent telling their child that they cannot and should not be chatting with strangers. Gamers should have the option and Nintendo needs to realize that it's one thing that many "core" gamers expect. Excluding it from games keeps them from picking up the Wii U or other systems Nintendo may have in the future even if they really want to play the games!
Nintendo is not forcing people to buy from scalpers. If you want them pre-order them and if nobody buys from scalpers they'll be forced to drop prices.
What else could it be? Maybe I forgot something.
I can't imagine the Wii U game being ported is one that was funded by Nintendo (ie Wonderful 101, Lego City, Bayonetta 2) but could very well be ZombieU as Ubisoft wasn't really happy with sales and might want to get some on other systems. Other than that not really sure what other ones are possible.
It's great that you are able to have multiple systems but not everyone can. It would be great to have the option for some sports games on Wii U instead of having to buy a console to play them.
How was he given the Wii U gamepad without a Wii U? It's not available on its own. People need to research when they spend money on things they're not familiar with.
I've told everyone I know whose getting a Wii U for their kids this Christmas to do this. Easy way to avoid fighting and disappointment on Christmas morning!
I did the same even though at the time I wasn't sure I would get any. The other waves are pre-ordered too. This reminds me of when I got back in to gaming with the Wii and couldn't find one for months! It didn't hurt the Wii's sales and I doubt this will hurt Amiibo sales at least not in the long run.
They're also new and the list of games keeps growing. Down the line when lots of amiibos have been sold Nintendo may make a game that requires them like DI and Skylanders. Perhaps the next version of Nintendoland or something.
Uh duh. Obviously it hardly sold. Full price. 6 months late. DLC that's extra and not included. Full price. Next, Ubisoft will blame Nintendo and Wii U fans when it was their blatant way to turn around and say Wii U owners don't buy mature games. No, we don't want gimped ports, delayed versions on Wii U, no DLC etc. Such BS!!!
We had a Smash Direct but maybe the only thing they mention about SSB tomorrow is the release date (to remind people plus it changed in Europe and Australia) and that a demo will be available immediately after the direct is finished...
Perhaps we'll hear about either a price drop or a Smash Bros bundle and a promotion like MK8 where we get a free older game with purchase and have other games that weren't part of MK8 promo.
We've had a Smash Direct so hopefully they don't beat that one again. We've heard enough, we're ready for it so it's time to talk more about ammiibos, Captain Toad, MK8 DLC. Then they need to drop some Wii U surprises and release dates for 2015 to get momentum going from SSB in a few weeks. News about the update that's bringing pre-loading and maybe other stuff would be good too.
Perhaps when they announce other options like cards, smaller characters etc they'll have a game like Infinity or Skylanders. By then people will have lots of amiibos that can be used with more on the way.
What I am reading is that the negative comments are coming from people who haven't even tried it or don't own a Wii U. The demo was very fun, the online gameplay had no lag whatsoever and it was addictive. I have no doubt it's going to do well, it's a new IP and is going to bring new ideas for a Nintendo game. Plus there will be free extra content post launch including updates in August to allow us to play with friends. Everyone I know with a Wii U is looking forward to th...
