Coulda woulda shoulda. Sony & MS turned down Bayonetta 2. It's a current gen game because it's on an 8th generation system not the 7th generation Wii, PS3 or 360. Whether it's GOTY material time will tell but reviews are fantastic so far! I guess people will need a Wii U to enjoy it or miss it entirely.
Really looking forward to downloading this later and trying it out! Never played the first one so in a couple of weeks I'll have two fantastic games to keep me busy!! Co-op on Bayonetta 2 is going to be fantastic too!!!
Amiibo will do fine on Wii U and 3DS. No need to dream that Nintendo needs to put them on anything else. Besides they connect with Nintendo games so there's nothing for them to connect with on any other system. If people want them they'll need a Wii U for now.
Exactly and should have fighters and stages specific to new Wii U games like Wonderful 101 and Bayonetta 2 to promote the games and the new connections with Platinum Games and other developers that do support the system.
"As far as we know it's a Japan-only release" meaning they have no idea what the future holds!
All these articles are based on ONE DAY of sales in Japan. It also sold 67% of initial shipments too. Maybe waiting until it's out everywhere in October would have made more sense. I can't wait to get this and the first one will be great as I never played it!!
Enough with the lame comments wondering if Bayonetta 2 will go multi-platform later. Nintendo is NOT going to release it on the other systems and it ONLY exists because of Nintendo. Get over it.
As for Ubisoft and Watch Dogs I don't see why they are even bothering to put it out on Wii U. Nintendo fans need to boycott it and send all the copies back to Ubisoft. The developers are paid so let Ubisoft handle to loss of wasting time and money on a sub-par game once again ...
The other annoying this is that comparing the 2nd one on one console to the first one on 2 other consoles is pointless. Bayonetta 2 on Wii U does not need to sell numbers like Bayonetta on PS360 in order for it to be a success! Why do people insist on comparing apples to oranges???
That would be extremely important in a multiplayer game like Splatoon! To add to the value make it a coloured pro controller or something that's linked to whatever game it's bundled with so it's a limited edition one. They do tons of limited edition 3DS models and need to do the same with Wii U!
A Splatoon bundle that comes in a few different colours and/or has different brand new Splatoon amiibos perhaps with a matching coloured pro controller would likely sell well especially since it's a brand new IP!!!
Another one would be a new one with a localized version of Fatal Frame 5 for Europe and North America!
Looking forward to Project Cars on Wii U in 2015 and Sonic on Wii U on November 11th. Maybe if Project Cars does tank on other systems but does better on Wii U when it's released in a month that's not crazy with releases they'll see that Wii U is the platform to put out sequels on. Time will tell I guess but it looks great!
It won't sell because it was delayed, Wii U owners are pissed with Ubisoft and other 3rd party developers and out at that time will be Sonic, Bayonetta 2, Hyrule Warriors (which will still be selling well I'm sure) and very likely Smash Bros & Amiibo around US Thanksgiving to take advantage of holiday shopping! Ubisoft lost out on an opportunity by delaying it instead of releasing it with other versions!
It's a great idea and by the time SSB4 comes out Bayonetta 2 will be out everywhere. While I really doubt it will happen having Bayonetta and Wonder Red might be a way to get new owners (and some current ones) interested in Bayonetta 1/2 and Wonderful 101.
It will certainly be a huge game this holiday season. Nintendo should release a Smash Bros/Amiibo bundle for Wii U as it will sell in huge numbers. On a side note a Bayonetta bundle might also work to get fans of the first game to buy Wii U to play the 2nd one which looks fantastic the more they show at various events.
To me this is all ridiculous! If people are so offended by the free DLC that Nintendo puts out in MK8 with Mercedes cars DON'T use them! Nobody at Nintendo is forcing any of us to use the cars but I for one can't wait to have my mii driving in a Mercedes beating everybody in MK8!!
On Wii U it will be different from everything before it so it won't be lost in a multitude of similar titles plus for some gamers who haven't played the first getting 2 games for $60 is fantastic! For those who played the first getting an updated version with some extras might also be a draw to play it again. We'll see in October!
Very true! The other good thing it has going for it is that it is not coming out on a platform that has so many other similar games. It will not get lost in the shuffle and will likely be the only big Nintendo game in October when it's released! They've had it at every showcase since it was announced and there will be fans of the original who will want to play it.
Retailers play a big part. I've gone in to many stores like Target in Canada and found Wii and Wii U games together under the 'Wii' banner and then separate ones for 'PS3', 'PS4', 'Xbox 360' and 'Xbox One'. They are NOT the same and the retailers should clue in to that fact! You don't need a doctorate to figure out that Wii and Wii U are two different systems! Online is another thing altogether - Amazon has Wii & Wii U things all mixed up...
Nintendo should make sure retailers know and retailers should take time to research what they're selling. It's laziness on both parties imo. I do not get why it's so confusing. Whether it's a 'U', a '4' or 'One' three of these things are not the same as 'Wii', '3' or '360'!! simple things we learned in Sesame Street - 'One of these things is not like the other'!!! Get a clue!
