While this may be true, since when is a "retail employee" a good source? That has about as much credibility as a "Best Buy Employee" stating that they sell one console more than the other. and this is news?
Even though the PS3 costs twice as much, doesn't Sony still LOSE money on every system sold while MS is MAKING money on every system now? That's why MS is in a much stronger position than these numbers indicate.
Is the storage solution the huge announcement? I mean, it's a good thing, but it's something they should have had long ago. Not exactly a huge achievement...
How come when the discussion is about sales figures, people always say "and the 360 is half the price". But when the discussion is about whether or not the PS3 needs a price drop, people start saying how the 360 is "actually" more expensive because you have to buy all of the extras?
using that argument, I could ask the same about any freeware program out there. Why are the commercial versions almost always the most popular? Can you name any freeware programs that have a higher install base than a for-profit version? Free does NOT always mean better nor more popular.
Is everybody missing the fact that it's on sale for $34.98???
How come it wasn't a "new low" and "pathetic" when Sony blocked their movies from being played on a 360 through Netflix? All's fair in love and war..
I personally prefer digital downloads. While I'll admit that in the past, I used to love my large CD, DVD and game collections. I liked how they looked on the shelf. But eventually I realized that all they do is take up space and collect dust. I would rip my CD's to my iPod and then never touch it again. So there IS a segment of the population that wants the content, but not the clutter.
I can't recall a single time when I've been unable to purchase a game due to no stock. There's 50 stores within every 5 miles that sell these things. Most stores just want you to forget you gave them money.
Actually since Microsoft hosed the beta distribution so badly, they extended it to UNLIMITED keys for 2 weeks. So I'm sure it's FAR more than 2.5 million by now. However I do think Vista users should at LEAST get a discount considering MS is all but calling it a disaster.
Me: My Dad could beat up your Dad
I'm going to assume that the people that will be buying this for the 360 could care less. We've all been playing multi-disc games for years, and funny, nobody ever mentioned it being a problem until now. I actually like the small feeling of accomplishment I get when I finish a disc. Sounds silly, but that's just me. I know I will be buying it for 360. Would I LIKE it to be on one disc? sure, but not enough to actually buy another $400 console. I have no "anti-PS3" feelings, I just c...
"Thanks to Bush" Getting your news from MTV again? If you've been paying attention, you'd know that Democrats forced banks to make bad loans to people who couldn't afford it. I'm not saying he is a good president, but show me ONE example where this is Bush's fault.
Look at MS's profits and tell me with a straight face they couldn't "afford" it.
I could personally care less what he thinks. However if his opinions are meaningless, then so are everyone else's in this post
maybe he owns both systems?
Great! and if these few people "win", the rest of us lose. Any monies lost will surly be passed on to gamers thanks to the greedy few. I'm convinced these people knew the DRM situation before they bought it. Otherwise they wouldn't be tech savvy enough to sue about it. losers
I'm not saying it will happen this time. but Sony made this mistake before with Minidisc and UMD. The fact that UMD's cost the same (often times more) than DVD's, with LESS content effectively killed that format out of the gate. They are practically giving away those movies now. minidisc, same thing. More expensive than CD's. This can't be compared to DVD's because they were fairly similar in pricing to VHS. All parties involved were committed to getting rid of VHS. From manufacturers to reta...
I personally could care less about this guy. But I'm curious why there are so many comments like "this guy is everywhere!" and "This guy just doesn't shut the hell up does he?" on all of his comments lately. But aren't these all from the same interview? Also, aren't these just his opinions? sheesh.
The almighty dollar said it
