personally I don't see how head to head monthly sales figures are a true indication. I mean, people are assuming that consumers are buying one or the other. Nobody seems to factor in the POSSIBILITY that just MAYBE the people buying the PS3 already have a 360. It's like saying the 360 outsold the PS3 in it's first year. Only when install bases are EQUAL, will we get a true picture of which one is selling "better". Am I making any sense?
.....and going quick. No interest from me though. I thought of buying this one but I'm far too impatient.
edit: i guess i should clarify, i meant i'm too impatient for these types of games (resource management/sims)!
Does the evidence suggest it will overtake the 360 in the US? I honestly don't know. Right now, what do the numbers say, and how long would it take? And please don't factor lineups, etc.... in your equation.
Why do the same people that say the 360 will never catch up in Japan, insist that the PS3 WILL catch up in the US?
For MGS4, how much of the BR disc is taken up by movies, and how much of it is the actual game? does anybody know? I'm just curious.

I agree. why is 7.5 bad??? what "scale" are people using? i personally think 10's should have to be PERFECT. no load times, no bugs, NO FLAWS.
So you're saying that had this been a PS3 exclusive, it would end up selling MORE total copies? Please explain.
Even if 1/2 the people with a 360 pirated this game, it will still sell more than if it was a PS3 exclusive. More formats = more copies sold. So being a PS3 exclusive wouldn't improve this situation in the least.
RPG Guy, what did you personally not like about the game?
It's really a catch 22. How many times have we all been burned by the entertainment industry? It's the ONLY industry i can think of where you can't get a refund if you are unsatisfied. I think the quality would improve (no bugs, etc...) if people were allowed to return their games, cd's, movies, etc.... when they stink. Why should every purchase be a gamble?
How come "Star Wars" is never seen as being "milked"? Also, what about MGS? Is THAT being milked? NO, if the fans WANT it, then it's a no brainer to give it to them.
