it's a recurring cost for people that play on Live. I don't. It's not a requirement. You can't lump an optional accessory in with total price. Not apples to apples.
So in a basketball game, if The red team scores 75 points in the first quarter, and the Blue team scores 0. Then in the second quarter The red team scores 50 and the blue team scores 50. The in the THIRD quarter, the Blue team scores 15 and the Red team scores 30. By most of the logic here, the red team is "winning". When Sony passes MS in total consoles sold, then we can say they are "winning". Catching up? MAYBE, winning? I don't think so.
whoa! me neither! I just don't like "stealth" gameplay. Frustrates the crap out of me. I'm sure in fanboy eyes that means we just don't "get it". LOL
Has been dead for years. Except in rare cases you are LUCKY if you get the sort of experience the writer is talking about. I don't care what industry you're in. Anytime i have to contact CS i prepare myself for a shi**y experience of getting bounced around, disconnected, and otherwise treated like crap. Right now I can think of TWO places off the top of my head that i think do pretty well. Nintendo and Amazon.
While i think 4 of the 5 are stupid, the 1st one he does have a point. I have a Logitech Harmony remote that cost me $250 and it works beautifully. As far as BT being "Next Gen" that's just silly. IR is definitely not showing ANY signs of going anywhere.
I totally agree. That 1st option is way too high priced for an add-on that just facilitates something that should have been included.
I honestly had no idea. I'm still going to get one, but for me that's a big bummer. I have a Harmony remote that i love. I hate dongle based ports on ANY system. And that IR2BT thing is $55??? what a rip off.
Everyone here shouldn't want a console to "win". Competition Competition Competition Competition
I am far from being the bleeding heart type. I just want to point out that this kid was only 13. He didn't have the chance to become a "retard", "idiot" or whatever other names some people want to label him with. Accident or not, this is just a heartbreaking story. I can't imagine how his family must feel.
Who do you think you are coming here with cold hard facts??
I can't wait to see how the BG haters spin this. It's 100% true. The man gives more of his time and money to charity then a lot of countries do. The guy NEVER gets credit. The one thing the MS doesn't do is adopt the position of "we're MS, you have to buy our stuff" like Sony likes to do. I finally own all 3 consoles, but i'd give my money to Gates over anyone on the planet.
I might have a nostalgic view of the old days, but I can't remember a single NES, SNES or Genesis game that would have even needed a patch for anything.
While I like the content of the site, i find it almost painful to navigate. I don't want 50 things happening on every page. With the obscene amount of ads on each page they forever to load. Then throw in the "to continue, click here...." ad's. Is there a good gaming site that isn't completely overloaded with CRAP?
I am one of the people waiting for the magical "below $300" number. However i don't see it anytime soon. They are taking a bath on it already due to the BR player. I'd say minimum of year.
Sorry :) meant to reply to main comment. What i meant was it's been available from the Firefox website for a few weeks. Just wondering what the significance of today is.
I downloaded the final official release almost 3 weeks ago. what's up with this?
Does this include PS3's sold? I will be buying a PS3 soon and absolutely ZERO percent of my reason for buying one is BR. So all buyers like me will artificially increase the demand for BR.
I'm all for open debate, but don't pretend to be impartial with comments like "online price"
I don't agree that reviews, etc... should factor in the length of the cut-scenes in determining the score. That being said, while i enjoyed the first MGS titles, i can't stand long cut-scenes. I get anxious when they approach 5 minutes. So this would definitely affect my PERSONAL enjoyment of the game. I am one impatient SOB. But saying that "fans love cut-scenes" is a pretty broad statement. I love MGS, but i HATE long cut-scenes. I could care less what Kojima's "vision" i...
I WISH I could get a BR player for $250. However i just don't see it dropping as quickly as the 360 is able to. The 360 is FAR cheaper to manufacturer. I realize that initially console makers lose money. but I just don't see the PS3 production costs dropping fast enough to catch up with the price drops of the 360. I could be wrong though. It all depends on the rest of the BR market and how fast people adopt. A lot of people (mostly older folks) still don't even know what a BR player IS.
