I don't think the gap is due to the "power" of the console. It's due to huge blunders by MS from the outset, and Sony jumping all over the opportunity. @Ginsunuva. I can't think of any reason it would be "necessary" to pirate a game. Just because they have oppressive governments that don't let them earn any money, doesn't mean they should get to steal from people. Now if you need to stealt to EAT you may have a case. But steal games "just because they can't afford it" isn't an excuse. By that logic I should be able to steal a BMW since its out of my price range.
Are there any reports or studies that show how much these differences impact sales? I have both systems and I swear I can never tell the difference. I'm sure there are "examples" of one multiplat being better, but for the most part all I care about is if it's fun or not. I would argue that most Nintendo first party titles are more fun then anything Sony or MS has come up with, yet they are the "inferior" console according to most experts here.
I've bought every console by the big three since the original NES. I can say there is no way I will buy it until it's a proven success. I'm tired of buying consoles that get very little first party support. Even the 3DS is neglected. And the other thing about Nintendo I can't seem to understand, is even as the Wii-U is in its death throws, you're lucky to find any 1st party titles ever on sale.
This has been happening to me for years. I'm 45 now, and I feel like I still love gaming as much as I used to, however I know I no longer have the patience I once had. I am always reading about what's coming out, etc... And I usually end up buying pretty much everything ( I have all three major consoles). And then the games just sit there. It's like I miss the marathon gaming sessions of my 20's, but when the wife and kids are asleep and I hunker down to play for several hours...

How well does this work on a PlayStation TV with a direct Ethernet connection at 75? I bought it for the PS4 streaming and was seriously disappointed. A lot of people said that it was like having a second PS4. It isn't.
