For this reason exactly. People think that just because they have sold less than Sony, that they're not making money. Which they are. So your definition of losing is basically just a scorecard. It has zero bearing on MS making money. Which is all that matters to ANY company. By your logic, just because Toyota has the number one selling car, the rest should just go out of business because "Toyota rulez".

"Considering how bad it is"??

1) Have you played it
2) Meta score is 85
3) Multiplayer has been universally praised

While hardly at the top of the heap, I don't think it hardly qualifies as "bad".

Why does everyone keep going on the theory that people can only buy one game at a time? And if they can't afford two at once, they buy the next one next paycheck. I've been gaming since Atari. Never once have I has someone said to me "if you buy Bubble Bobble, than SSX comes off the table for life. So choose wisely". This all goes on the theory that there is only one "pie" for everyone to share. Nobody ever takes into account that you can make more pies. Just becau...

Define "doomed". If you don't think MS gave them either a) a safety net if it doesn't sell, or b) a TON of upfront money that I'm sure more than paid for the game, than you are delusional. There is ZERO chance this game isn't profitable. It probably already IS and it hasn't even gone on sale yet. There is one thing that matters to ALL of the companies. Money. If you think the higher ups at Sony or MS are "listening to the gamers" you're delusional a...

Look, I love Uncharted. But can there be at least one thread where it doesn't get mentioned?

Reviews are basically meaningless to me at this point. They are almost to the point of parody. Tomb Raider and Fallout are both day one buys for me regardless. But when I read things like this from a Fallout review that received a PERFECT score: "But graphical niggles aside....". There shouldn't BE an aside. If it has "graphical niggles" (whatever that means), than it shouldn't get a perfect score. I can't believe when people argue over metacritic point totals ...

Because it's always easier in these forums to press "disagree" than to actually make a valid point that adds to the discussion.

Are there any sites that rate the platforms separately? For all the "multiplats are superior on MY console" comments, you rarely ever see any variance in the reviews. I know there are articles that sometimes compare, but I can't recall seeing a recent review where one platform (I'm talking PS4 and Xbox) got a different score. My theory is that 95% of the people reading the reviews can't tell the difference. I'm not trying to stir up anything, so please don't tell...

Count me as one of the people with both consoles, and I just can't tell the difference on my 55" 1080p TV. For me, graphics only impress the first minute or two of the game. If a game is designed well, I get lost in the game play. I don't think I've once thought "gee, this area would be more fun if only the particle effects were better". I would be willing to guess MOST people that play video games just don't care.

You can count on one of two things with any sequel review.

A. It's fun, but they haven't pushed the series forward enough

B. They've changed too many things, and I'm not comfortable with it.

All you need to do then is look at the stocks for both companies over the last five years. Sony is basically flat, and Microsoft has done nothing but continue to rise. Hell, even today MS is up and Sony is down. I have all three consoles and so far none of this has impacted me in the slightest way. I do realize that people in these forums care about "lead platforms" and shit like "draw distance" and "Anti-aliasing". But the real fact is, most people just don'...

What is your email address and nearest Western Union location? I have a large inheritance that I simply do not have the time to spend.

Please let me announce that I must be the FIRST Xbox user that "plays these types of games". I only pray that I have the intellect to handle such a thing.

I really don't see what you're reading. He says he "doesn't know" about the move controllers, but he is happy the dual shock is tracked as well. Where does he say they are better?? Also, please look up what the word "literally" actually means.

3754d ago 3 agree2 disagreeView comment

Now that is an article that actually talks about all three

3754d ago 2 agree1 disagreeView comment

Where did you read that it's "vastly better"?? Here is the entire quote about the PSVR: “Huge install base to start, solid consumer experience, single target for developers. I think they’ll do really well. Not as sure about the move controllers, but am quite happy that the Dual Shock 4 controller is also tracked.”

3754d ago 8 agree1 disagreeView comment

There in zilch in this article that says it's better than the other two. Just that it has a large install base, which makes it "In a league of its own". Read the article.

3754d ago 6 agree8 disagreeView comment

After reading the headline, I thought I was going to get an insiders perspective on all three. The Sony comment Sounds more like he's comparing apples and oranges. He's clearly not saying it's superior. I just think the headline is a bit misleading.
