Good to see a solid score, but my god this reminds how Google Translate straight up butchers grammar.
There were some great arguments on here and I was surprised that I liked Altano's points as much as I did, in particular that we never call for a game to be more expensive if it's 200+ hours but only when it feels like it should be cheaper.
I was concerned about Beyond in particular as a podcast but had faith in Scoville. Good to see they're having some solid discussion on the first episode in a post-Miller/Moriarty world.
A buddy and I went to a barcade here in Denver and the only open machine was Michael Jackson's Moonwalker. I wouldn't say it was great but it sure made us want to drink more, faster. So we did.
And no love for Def Jam Vendetta/Icon?? As stupid as they were I played the hell out of them both for reasons I can't justify.
I enjoyed the Sims 4 for a little bit,but having reviewed it I just got bored after a bit and I think it burned me just too early. I have little to no motivation to go back.
Suda 51 + James Gunn writing is a pretty solid combo. I don't think after Guardians we'll see Gunn come back to write a game but I appreciated this one for not really fitting any molds.
I feel like all the stories blasting The Order for length are focused on the 5 hour mark, when it seems like the site that posted the mark in the first place blasted through it and DS said that's if you skip everything you can - who plays a game like that?
I'll be picking it up day one, and will take my time soaking up the environment, setting, animations, everything that RaD has taken time to create there. The point that the three titles mentioned as having under 9 ...
Defense is great - starting with a Level 3 monster is terrifying for sure.
I agree, but there aren't any real revelations here, the article just kind of talks about how the 90's were great because we got full experiences. Which is in part true but there were always broken games, and exploitative titles that were pumped out for no reason other than to cash in.
Budgets have gone astronomical indeed but margins are becoming much thinner for physical releases, retailers have a strangle hold on pricing for digital goods because pubs/devs don'...
We aren't related, but thanks for the heads up as that could definitely be a source of confusion.
I appreciate the feedback - while I don't enjoy being jumped on for the article or folks claiming I even said I had journalistic integrity or intentions, I understand the heat I'm getting for it and will certainly look to tweak what we do in the future.
The video was aimed a preview style footage with the biggest complaints we've seen on sites like N4G gaining the most heat, then trying to explore them a bit more. Clearly that was a poor way of approaching it.
Hey! Appreciate the comment for sure. In all honesty it's because I do worry about the game for the reasons in the video - the fact that someone like O'Dwyer says we aren't shooting a lot worries me - the other half of it is we needed a good title for an ongoing series and this is where we settled for the time being.
The sad truth is that a title like that does get some clicks and some eyes on the video, and for a site/channel that's trying to get those eyes...
It's just terribly written and the thoughts aren't put together well. Another site I'll probably put on the "oh hell no" list.
That's a super interesting point - I wonder if it might have been a bit more interesting if it came out as just "Hardline" or something if it might not get as much negative feedback just off the name.
I have a feeling we'd still figure out that it was built off Battlefield, but the Battlefield name is a juggernaut, so it's not terribly surprising to attach it there to get instant recognition.
That's why I think they had to take that "this season on" angle of a cop show, it's looking more and more like a Michael Bay cops v. robbers game - which might not be too bad, but it's going to take some serious hands on to see if they actually hit the nail on the head there.
Audio/video sync is way off, and it'd be nice if there was a bit more of the evidence like a picture or the actual video in this video instead of having to link to it. There also isn't anything at 7:53 because the video linked in the description is only 7:25
Weird that this was linked to the second page of the review - thought I was missing something, then found I was.
The game is great though, a little quick to pump out a review I think but I'm having a good time with this one for sure.
hell of a deal but I just didn't like Pearce as a protagonist at all. The game gets more hate than it deserves, but it also got more hype than it deserved. Hoping they actually do take those risks they talked about recently in a sequel.
Good - I liked the show honestly, a little too long, but it keyed in on some very cool aspects of the industry. Recognizing people like TB, Boogie, Lindsey Stirling, etc was great - just for the love of god find a different word than "World Premiere"
I wouldn't be shocked if they announced it as a two way street here in the next few months, they can't be that dense that they don't realize people wanted it the other way around...right? RIGHT?!
I'm already prepared to get a lot of disagreement here, but this is the guy that said 30 FPS was just plain better for what they were shooting for. And while I'm sure it won't be a big deal while playing it, his comments in the past were simply rationalizing.

Regardless, the game is definitely getting a lot of hate, a...
