Loved this on PC but got sidetracked with some other big releases, glad this is getting more exposure over on console too but I can't help to stay ignorant in my opinion that it's best on PC.

Good list - Styx being free on PS+ and Invisible Inc. is great. Looking forward to Bithell's new one too but The Dark Mod sounds awesome and I definitely have not heard of it, good stuff!

Solid review - a good read that kept me into it and that's a feat for a golf game. It's too bad that for coming back after a year off it does seem like this is missing a few key things, the roster is light, and the courses seemed primed for DLC instead of out-of-box value. It's also a bummer to hear that the career is so off-kilter, especially since the roster of real-world golfers is a bit lacking.

Never forget. I liked Randy after listening to him on The Nerdist podcast, but the CM and Duke came out and I just lost all respect. It'd be different if they could admit things weren't up to snuff and even if a corpo speak statement or video came out with them saying "we'll do better" were the case, admitting they've effectively sh*t on the people that trust them would be at least a step.

Agreed Yukes, someone somewhere will find a way to use this fridge in their gamer-cave and if 10 people out of millions do find a use for it they'll be happy, and Activision will have sold a few $200 CE's. It's all a matter of offering and interest, I preordered the Pip-Boy edition because I'm jacked and will never put that stupid thing on my wrist, but it'll look cool with my Borderlands 2 CE and others.

More interesting is the 3 sku approach with a stan...

Having played this extensively, I truly feel the gameplay and game world and sheer amount of stuff to do will have people looking past any visual issues they really have - and the fox engine looks incredible constantly so to me any issues with the fidelity are seeming extremely nitpicky.

That's kind of the point of the Early Access model though, you're taking a bit of risk with your own money to support and hopefully feel like you're part of the development cycle. There will be bumps and bruises for sure but there's that hope that at the end the final product will be incredible.

I've felt a bit burned by DayZ, H1Z1, and Contagion in particular - funny that they're all zombie games - but the first two are still actively being updated ...

Idk how Bloodborne and The Witcher might have been missed, they were both timed well enough that they were pretty big news when they came out and sold in the millions. Otherwise pretty good list.

I would have thrown in Invisible Inc, The Weaponographist, Ark: Survival Evolved, or Crypt of the Necrodancer on my list.

"The Crew was an open-world racing game set on tracks of almost whole U.S but Ubisoft developers made map such short and limited as it took less than two hours to drive throughout the country."
Personally 2 hours to drive across a map is a bit much even, I reviewed the Crew and the map...

"Recent news has surfaced confirming that only eight real-life (nine if you pre-order) and four fantasy courses will be available at launch, souring the anticipation many had for the game. Additionally, only twelve playable golfers will be available at launch, which does not include Tiger Woods, as we reported last week that he will not be a playable character. There will be five fake golfers coming to the game's launch day roster."

Yikes EA - that doesn't s...

Might be a little early for Recore and Sea of Thieves but I'm right there with you, those are two really exciting IPs

Can't wait to see a bit more of Quantam Break and Halo 5 as that E3 demo actually turned me a bit from the cynic to hopeful. Would love to see some gameplay of Crackdown, great memories of both of the previous ones playing with buddies.

This is what I'm kind of hoping for - I love the idea of being alone out there and just kind of seeing what it's all about, getting lost in the (awesome from snippets) soundtrack and art style but wonder how long I can go before a buddy and I can ultimately have more fun and be more productive. Hopefully something like you said like a warp to function or even joining through PSN/Steam will be a possibility.

@bloodborn - I loved this video too - this game has quickly taken the "sit back and chill" kind of mantle and looks like a game that will be the one that keeps me going for a good long while much like Skyrim. Hop in, fly around, mine some stuff, make better ship, etc.

What worries me is in your comment and in the video - are there restrictions on or moderation of the names? I don't want to have to request entry to "YouMothersButt 1107-3" but the idea o...

I'll give you that you mentioned one developer that's doing ok but the tone of the article is so negative it just made want to stop reading. The industry is obviously going through some growing pains but hell, we don't have AAA publishers pushing games out in mere weeks like in the 80's. Sure there are budgets growing out of control and QA in some games seems to go by the wayside, but overall you can't say that the ENTIRE industry hates it's consumers. Companies lik...

I actually enjoyed this one, kept me entertained, the new movement was fresh, the multiplayer was interesting. as bggriffiths said, better than Ghosts for sure. I'd put it up against Blops 2, not the best in the series but definitely worth the price here.

I see your point but I also think we haven't seen that massive shift or even a reason for those previous gen users to move over. MS is shooting for that with the backwards compatibility and trying to give that "no reason not to" approach. I also think sometimes on sites and in forums we tend to think a majority of gamers are like us and follow these things, care about system specs and where games run better - when for the average consumer (who makes up a much larger market shar...

The answers are pretty much as open as you want to be - most outposts and such are either in the open or backed up to a cliff or something along those lines - in my play there was one base in particular I loved because it was on a hill but could be approached from both sides which a road ran through, from the top of the base, or the bottom - the bottom having tons of searchlights and stuff making the top the best option as you could work down through the base.

I also though...

Thanks Palitera! Definitely looking forward to it even more after getting that good hands on time, and talking/reading/watching about it all day today is making the wait until Sept painful!
