Trying my best not to get too hyped about the game, but every time they show footage it becomes more and more difficult. I hope they can live up to the high hopes here.
Solid post - I really like the parallels to investments, minimizing risk. I've been burned by a few, or at least burned in my eyes. I would say the same applies to Early Access titles, overall good write up that makes your feelings clear, and gets across a good message.
This is one of the first races in the game, with a car provided by the game. The bots are there like training wheels and you quickly get to see the open world racing aspects. Seems this is jumping to conclusions after less than an hour with the game.
I disagree with some of the points made, but interesting take on it. I think the consensus on Min is that he's great, but most wanted to see him more. I'm just glad we have a series that has competent writing of interesting villains.
I wouldn't call pulling in over $9k in patreon a month unemployed. He's independent now, meaning he doesn't have to worry about pissing off the publication, sponsors, or anyone really. There are plenty of business owners who are 'on their own', and we don't call them unemployed either. For his style and strong personality, he was handcuffed by whoever he was working for before.
He's definitely divisive and controversial, but with DToid and Escapist...
Quite happy Jim is on his own now - good stuff.
The pre-match cinematics in the Alpha were a cool touch, but seemed like a bit of useless banter. I'm hoping it's more than just jumping in to a match over and over. I'd like to think there's more weight, but really don't know.
Personally this is the only big December release that comes to mind, totally agree on Dragon Age. I didn't get sucked in to the first two, but this one is just swallowing me whole.
For sure, hopefully this will fill in a bit of the story for us. Pretty pumped for new gear and some new reasons to jump back in for narrative content.
Sorry man, played on Xbone otherwise I would help ya out for sure.
Agreed, I'm glad it turned out well. I was pretty concerned after Unity - even though I didn't personally have more than one or two issues, the problems have been a bit worrisome. Crossing all the fingers for The Division to come out more on the Far Cry side of the spectrum.
Remember they're doing online as well, so if you can get online Thursday, get it! Great deal for some great games for sure.
Thank you very much! We will definitely keep updating it and keep you all posted!
Happy bday and thanks for being so generous!
Anyone else tried some of the Daily/Weekly Heroics? I noticed they are not matchmaking so if you don't have a fireteam, especially one that is competent, you'll likely get your ass kicked. I tried the daily heroic story and it was relatively straightforward but definitely challenging. I also tried to get in some strike playlists last night with the idea to earn some strange coins and couldn't matchmake another 2 guardians to save my life, hope this doesn't become an issue... ...
There is another area that opens up with the Iron Banner that is above the Vanguard area too, at the very rear of the Tower. Don't know if he will pop in there or not.
Some of the Grimoire cards get you perks like more class item (bond/mark/hood) drops, more glimmer drops for enemy types, or more special resources like spinmetal will spawn. If you go to Bungie.net and look at some of the cards they have tiers for their unlocks, I have a few tier one unlocks and apparently it's going to do something.
I've had it work - the intro sequence seems a bit heavy and chugs, but going in to the maps and such is cool - just basically street view on Venus, Mars, etc.
I agree, I wonder if he'll have that Magneto angle of his intentions being somewhat admirable, but the course of action being just off the deep end.
If it's anything like DA: Inquisition, you have my attention.
