Poor title - Not true Free to Play - Still have to purchase the game itself, they're just not on a subscription model anymore.
The more interesting headline is the fact that the game is dropping the subscription. Can't say it wasn't warranted and should've been considered a long time ago, but makes me wonder if it can save the game.
I don't get why the author didn't actually state his opinion beyond "I was underwhelmed" - if he was so underwhelmed and wants to make a prediction, it should be based mostly off his experience with the game.
My prediction is that this prediction is just lazy copy pasta from other sites that slam the title - it's just as easy to find the good things people are saying and say that The Order will be a contender for GOTY
Interested to see how the Doom reboot fares from this game's reception
Couldn't disagree more, but hey that's why it's an opinion. Fairly well fleshed out but I wish the author would've gone into a bit more detail of a few of the encounters that pissed him off - I got frustrated maybe one time, and the pros greatly outweighed the cons on this game for me.
Awesome post - that's fascinating and there's a ton of games there. Really appreciate you throwing that here.
Still undecided on TES: Online - the PC version seems to have been mostly forgotten about or at least gets next to no press anymore, and I was a little excited to see it come out. Hopefully they ditch the monthly sub but that one concerns me.
Added some tension too trying to make it just a little further. Can't wait to see how this one turns out.
I don't think console players are less apt to commenting on the game, probably more apt to - the real problem with bringing early access to consoles would be that currently some still assume they deserve a fleshed out product from and don't under stand what Early Access means on PC, and the console crowd is extremely vocal.
There's going to be more than a few that think early access means the same thing as what console beta's have started to mean, in that they...
They've got to have some plan for DLC otherwise people play and forget about the game, which honestly scares me to say still might happen with this game, but the lead dude @ Turtle Rock said it about monsters and hunters,
"they cost a lot of money and time to make. We’re hoping that once people see how much new hunters and monsters bring to the game that they’ll feel like they got their money’s worth.”
I don't agree with the valuation of $15 for ...
I'm a big believer that games for VR need to be from the ground up - but in order to turn some heads they'll probably have to port some of these big titles over, and this list is pretty decent in terms of games that would benefit from VR and benefit VR adoption.
Mirror's Edge is a tricky one, it's a great game, but could easily give users motion sickness.
I'd like to see Bethesda's games like Fallout/Elder Scrolls as well, but have a h...
Can't wait to see more of Campo Santo's work - love all the people involved so hopes are high for sure. Overall some great things to look forward to on PC, but seriously what is with all the sites that can't make a slideshow or list on one page?
Bold choice with Titanfall, as I haven't seen it on many lists. I really appreciate the aim of the game and think that Titanfall 2 will be announced soon, and be a serious heavyweight, it just lacked staying power for some reason. Good list though and some good supporting comments to back them up.
Ugh this site again, with the individual page per entry. Never again.
I'd don't agree with Destiny being up for GOTY, but glad to see games that weren't on other lists up there in categories. Should be a good time come March.
what.
Quite a thorough list, maybe a little too long, and I always like to see WHY a game was chosen instead of the very matter of fact presentation here but I can tell a good amount of work went into that.
Terrible footage and it's available in direct feed and better quality all over.
I was a little surprised the HDD space on current skus wasn't mentioned on either the PS4 or Xbox One list come to think of it - I'm totally out of space on Xbone and have to get an external here in the next few days just to think about installing new games. Data management is ridiculous on these things.
The word convenience can really be interpreted too many ways
