I don't agree with a lot of the list, but I see the arguments, these things seem like design and business decisions that, like all, can be done very well, or extremely poorly.

Is it too much to get the grenades from ME1 back? Love those death frisbees

I'd be careful with these - Rockstar seems to catch most of these shenanigans pretty quick - http://www.vg247.com/2014/0...

Agree but I also see their side on it - if you have most scenes at 60 fps and then a few big things chug down to 30 it's going to be pretty noticeable.

I liked how they intro'd at the Game Awards as "this season on Hardline" gives me a cop show feeling, hopefully they expand on that and write a decent story. I can't blame you for getting that vibe though.

A lot of these are pretty big titles that a lot of us did play, I was expecting a bit more. Also, individual pages for each item on a list is a quick way to have me never visit your site again.

Looks like the delay was a right call, looking a bit more fleshed out thank god. Still not a preorder/day one for me though, maybe the next beta will motivate me.

It really does add a new dimension. I was surprised. I got the thing from Gamefly because I didn't want to shell out $60 for this and I would rather buy the game on PC again than on another console. I'm still having fun with it though, still going through the story again, and the little touches I don't see mentioned like depth of field and improved cinematic camera are very nice.

If you haven't tried Amnesia The Dark Descent (the follw up, Machine for Pigs is a different dev), it's a great horror game - and there's plenty of YouTube footage of folks jumping. Outlast is in the same vein but a bit different, but that's why SOMA is a big get for Sony, the quick look they showed made it look kind of aliens-esque.

I do wish we could get this to 60FPS, would do nothing but help the terror.

Then it turns in to this, with microtransactions for better mops; http://store.steampowered.c...

For me it's more about them being transparent - 30 FPS is not 'more cinematic' in any way other than movies do use 24fps to film, but that just isn't conducive to the best possible gaming experience. I'd gladly give up a few p's for some for FPS'.

It seems like every time they make a game, there's some bad decision in it. I know they want to milk games for what they're worth, but pumping microtransactions in to The Crew and AC Unity is ab...

I was kind of expecting a dull read, but that was pretty entertaining, if nothing else for the captions of each photo. Decent speculation that showed the author did at least a little research instead of jumping in to "this is what it will be, for sure, no doubt".

I'd love to see a majority of these come to fruition - but what AC needs more than all these additional titles, is a good bit of time off to realign. Unity was decent (I didn't have more than one...

Kuchera can be divisive, but this is a good piece - I don't think Nintendo is unwilling any more though. I got the impression from The Game Awards that they are ready to give fans what they want, and listen. They still have a long road to walk, but their recent releases and announcing a new IP are baby steps towards what will hopefully be a solid 2015 for them, and in result all of us.

I'd also argue the developers are victims as well - they want people to play and respect their work, but not to get so overblown that expectations are out of this world.

I think PR/Marketing and publishers get these ideas if the dev says "yeah we might be able to do that" that then means that it's a cornerstone feature and goes on the box quotes.

Believe it or not the majority of the people actually working their hands to the bone making...

More than worth it - great game.

More of the same is the best way I can put this - new items are fine but it doesn't feel different enough. Felt just like they added more enemies to the strike too, barely any new areas.

This is looking more and more like a game that was in my favor, fell slightly out, and is now shoving itself right into my January lineup. Jerks makin all these neat games. Hope the co-op is deep, haven't seen any real hands-on with that yet beyond some passing comments.

Pakman got a quick sub from me, level headed and not pulling punches. Very good programming even beyond the GG stuff.

I try not to side with anyone on the Gamergate thing, since I think there are valid points and reasonable voices on either side - but when you just openly and immediately dismiss and try to shred the other side in the lede of your piece, it's honestly hurting the authors credibility.

Realistically the origins of any and all sides aren't meaningless, especially if you say in the same line that it's a long one.
