It was a bit surprising how much I liked it even on the console controls - I loved 4 and it just did all the right stuff to push forward.

Even though we have a bit of overload on some remasters - true remasters of some series would be totally welcome - Mass Effect, Gears, Uncharted, and I'd personally like to see a Bioshock Collection with 1/2/Infinite.

Agreed - I was an Xbox-only person last gen so I would certainly pick this up as a primer for 4 and just a good series to experience.
I'd definitely like to see Cyberpunk - I don't think they'll have much because CDProjekt seems to like to focus on one thing at a time and they'll be likely just starting to shift focus from The Witcher but definitely want to see that.
The Division is the other that I want to see some live play from press instead of the Ubisoft Scripted crew, and really we need to as it seems like a pretty sure bet if the game is going to come out this year.
That really is some solid animation - the Asset store, while having some garbage has some seriously impressive stuff in there and it's really cool that if you've got the knowledge and a bit of cash for assets you can be fairly on par with some of the "big" releases. Very cool time for gaming.
Cool stuff - DX12 sounds like it allows some interesting advancements but I'm honestly getting a little stale on the "DX12 will make everything unbelievable!" lines I keep seeing - remaining hopeful but I'll have to see something really cool to be able to say "that's because of DX12"
It looks like him saying there was no appeal was a good thing - sounds like the devs went back and added the hiding and jumping and a few more mechanics and here we are - cool looking game that I'm glad Nintendo is trying out.
That's going to be a tall order for Activision - while I agree that it should leave the previous gen behind and focus on a solid PS4/Xbone and PC version, I just don't think they'll give up that install base just yet. There's something like over 80 million Xbox 360's out there alone and Activision loves being able to gobble up their money - so while I think it's the right decision to make for gaming, I just don't see it happening.
The Alpha goes live in a few minutes here and I'm pretty excited to check it out personally, no NDA or embargo on streaming either so I expect it to get a bit of footage and coverage here in the next few days but I hope they don't end up going too far like Evolve and showing the game off way too many times prior to release.
I want this one to be great, but until I see a lot more I just remain cautiously optimistic.
Idk what it is about GTA in general but I just keep going back - I bought GTA IV a few years after it came to PC and was blown away by the mod support and hope that Rockstar not only makes this port on the level of the Max Payne 3 port, but also makes the mod integration a little easier. It prolongs the life of their game and makes some of the best reasons to go back to the game down the road.
The specs aren't that terrible either, I can't really bring myself to shell...
Interesting opinions - I'd like to see Amazon strike out to see what the waters hold for something of a more bite-sized experience. I think that in the next console gen we'll see smaller boxes and more of that streaming model come into play so the big guns like MS and Sony don't have to worry about their hardware being outdated on day one. Amazon is in a really good position to be another player in the space, and although I don't need another box on the media center taking up...
We all know its coming, it's just Activision slow dripping "THE BIG REVEAL" until next month more than likely and doing stupid teases to try to get hype for an event that will just try to generate more hype.
I actually quite enjoyed this one, for the price it's hard to beat the quick fix nature of it and the art is pretty as hell - to each their own.
10% off Xbox cards is decent, I don't remember those ever going on sale like the e-shop ones do. The games aren't anything to be excited about but for a 2-day ad it's not that bad.
Solid article, "Art is driven by subjective experiences, interpretations led by perceptions." I really liked that line, as the games as art argument seems to me that it's held up by extremists who think everything is art or nothing is.
It seems that games are judged harshly on the bad apples or the bombastic experiences that seem to have any content that might be viewed negatively - but film and print all have their own bad apples, hell there are 5 scary movies ...
