Personal issues come up for everyone at one time or another, good luck to him in the future. Hopefully we finally get to see something from Respawn soon .
Graphics alone? Nope. I think people need to realize the most powerful, graphical consoles have never been as successful as the less powerful ones. In fact, the top console as far as graphics and power are concerned have never won a console generation.
I think the best looking graphics don't mean much if games lack a proper story and functional game play mechanics. Crysis is a perfect example of this, great graphics, sub par story and mechanics.
If anyone watched the Gears Judgment reveal last night, they will know that this game looks amazing, with many great innovations. It's a game for the fans of the series and I was a little skeptical until I saw the reveal last night, apparently Twitter was equally impressed because GearsJudgment was trending number 1 world wide last night!
It's going to be a great way to send out the franchise on the Xbox 360! Really looking forward to where they take it on the 720 nex...
Five years, six max. This helps us avoid sequels built on the same engine over and over again, this helps reinvigorate gamers and gets them excited for new hardware. This also keeps developers on their toes and churning out new ideas.
From a technical standpoint the games coming out on current hardware are amazing, but for the most part I'm bored of the same thing, no matter how they try and "update" it or impress us, it's still the same old hardware that we...
He's still on the board of directors. They could have very well wanted to make something new and a new contract with Microsoft would have really limited their creativity.
Don't kid yourself into thinking Microsoft wouldn't do what it takes to keep Gears exclusive, I mean they have a prime time show tonight on Fox dedicated to Judgment.
I'm not sure what your deal is, or why you talk like that, but I don't get it.
Go ahead and think new consoles are coming in October.....you'll just be disappointed. When has a Sony console or Microsoft console ever launched in October?
Some people speculate that Cliffy B left Epic because he didn't want to work on the Gears series for the next decade, and that Microsoft already paid to keep Gears coming. I have a feeling they already have the next chapter mapped out in the Gears universe, and considering Microsoft's deep pockets I doubt they'd let it go to a competing platform.
Mike Capps who is the president of Epic said Gears will never be on a PlayStation console, so take it for what it'...
Holiday 2013 is November and onward. Consoles usually launch in mid to late November, wishing for it earlier wont change things. The don't even have a final design on the console itself, and people want to believe it's going to launch in like 6-7 months?
Middle to late November. We have to remember that Assassins Creed, COD and a lot of other games launched last October/November and the Wii U didn't come out until after those games did. I'd suspect the same thing this time, the current gen versions will release first and then the next gen ones.
Looks like they took my least favorite part of Assassins Creed 3 (boating) and turned it into its own game!
Microsoft has come out of left field with these great deals this week. Free Live Weekend, Gears Judgment reveal tomorrow on prime-time before Family Guy.
Things are getting interesting!
Well we only have rumors to go on for the next Xbox, so you cant really say. I'd imagine they are pretty close and the third party games should be equal on both.
We know Microsoft and Sony want background downloads and two things going on at once, it wouldn't surprise me to see 4 gigs for OS and 4 gigs for gaming.
My only wish is that Nintendo would have slapped a few more gigs into the Wii U.
I do that on PSN now! I have like 10 different accounts, some to team kill, some to just knife people, and some just to be annoying!
They have the big prime time Xbox Live event before Family Guy on Fox tomorrow night, supposed to be some sick Gears Judgment reveals and other things.
The games they have on sale this week were just insane, and free Xbox Live Gold for the weekend definitely has me thinking along the same lines as you. Something big is coming!
I enjoyed both, but I think I liked Perfect Dark a bit more. The fact that it was a totally new team at Rare that built Goldeneye was impressive, but the more talented team built Perfect Dark. Both great games, both classics and it's really difficult to pick one, but I'd have to go with Perfect Dark.
I remember when I finished with Gears 3 I thought they neglected Baird and his back story, I remember telling my buddies who I played through the campaign with that they should make a prequel and focus on Baird and Cole, and here they go and do it.
Really looking forward to playing some of that Overrun mode.
I don't see why he just wont stop? I kind of used to respect this guy, but since he left Epic and got married he just wont be quiet.
I remember at the video game awards he got interviewed quickly and couldn't help but talk about how he wanted fully digital everything. Now he's all for micro-transactions and talking up EA, which is one of the most disliked companies in the world.
I kind of doubt this, mainly because it was a launch title. Now if they release the next COD on an established Wii U and it tanks, they might have a point.
I think it has potential, but to be honest, without an Achievement system I'm not buying many third part multiplatform games on the Wii U.
The hit detection was just awful, the lag and host issues seemed to get worse and worse. Most of the guns did little to no damage, and they messed up the points it took to get killstreaks.
We've seen this same article every year for the last few years. We know that not everyone will enjoy a new Assassins Creed franchise every year, but from a developer and publisher standpoint making money off this franchise every year probably helps fund some of their other risky ventures like Watch Dogs.
If you don't like it, don't buy it. I'll probably wait for a price drop, but I'm not going to dog the series, it's been consistently good since the b...
