Maybe you didn't notice that Sony is releasing the PS4 with a similar camera? So I'd hold off on crowning anyone or trying to convince others that one company is strictly for core or not after a profit.

They are businesses.

I doubt that, DRM fails already, so I can imagine how that will continue to fail. The thing is, its like Star Wars said, the more you tighten your grip, the more the games will fall through their grasp.

There will always be piracy.

Gaikai isn't backwards compatibility, and we don't know any facts on the next Xbox, so I will withhold my judgement on that. The Xbox 360 had some pretty good backwards compatibility in my opinion, it supported quite a few games and even the new 360's do that. I mean when compared to Sony's BC, it's 100% better because Sony offered none.

I'm waiting and seeing, hopeful though.

This is the thing, I think Microtransactions can actually help if a game is purchased used, I can see that side of things. The problem I have with them is when they are used to give an edge over someone who hasn't bought the same thing. I don't believe in the pay to win scenario that the are employing.

It wasn't until after that Blu Ray was mentioned...Also, they came out and said they will have all games available day one for digital download...and "some" on disc.

I'm not making it up, its become kind of obvious that Sony wants to scrap physical media, PSP GO, Gaikai and PS+ are all digital only services sort of like a Trojan Horse.

I'm just saying from a consumer standpoint I'd feel better if Microsoft came out with BC with a p...

It's our own fault, we as consumers have shunned single player only games. Its gotten to the point where games like Tomb Raider, Mass Effect and lord help us even God Of War are stricken with lame multiplayer game modes that people will abandon within two months.

Sadly, we are headed towards a DRM style of always online, which is probably why Destiny the new Bungie game requires an interenet connection to play any part of it.

If they could get great content like that Halo Forward Unto Dawn, I'd be down. People will dog Microsoft for branching out, but they have the money and resources to do more than one thing. The good news is that if you just like to game, you'll be covered, and if your like me and like to game and watch movies, shows and check out music and things like that, your covered too.

Options are a great thing. Honestly in the early days I'd play on Xbox 360 for a while, th...

Yes it matters. One of the reasons Sega lost consumer confidense was because they released add-on's and failed to support them. Microsoft and Sony just released Kinect and Move less than 2 years ago, now they are coming out with new consoles that don't let you play older games? That would be a bad marketing idea and a good way to lose consumer confidense.

Jury is still out on the next Xbox, but if they could get some physical backwards compatibility, they would have ...

I plan on getting it, it was one of the reasons I bought a Wii, aside from the prospect of an HD Mario, Zelda, Metroid and other first party games. Rayman Legends was also a reason, but we know what happened there.

Well they will need something to do with the older models I guess, so it makes sense. This isn't really news for gamer's though. I think they are just adding this hardware to PC's and laptops, which makes sense.

Hopefully Kinect 2.0 will track better and have no lag, looks like the Sony PS4 camera will track pretty close to 1:1, be nice if Microsoft's does as well.

Nope, companies sign an agreement to keep things confidential. When Microsoft decides to show the world the next Xbox, we'll know.

The only people really complaining are people without Xbox 360's and the ones that act as if people who own and play Xbox 360's should be upset that Microsoft gives us the games we bought a 360 for in the first place.

I loved what I saw at the reveal the other day, I've been begging for a Domination game mode since Gears 1. Gears 3 was awesome, but I thought they left out Baird's story, and now I know why.

Cant wait to get this game.

It's on the disc and it's not DLC, you unlock it by playing through the Judgment campaign and earning stars by compelting tasks. It's totally free, and just adds a nice little piece of closure to a mystery in Gears 3.

It's what happened in Gears 3, so you can access the bonus chapter of what happened when Baird and Cole went to go get help. So they bridge the games together a bit more.

There are no announced Xbox 720 games yet, not even an official announcement for the console. We know Black Flag the new Assassins Creed game, Watch Dogs, and Theif will all be launch titles though.

If I had to guess a bit, I'd say Ryse from Crytek, Alan Wake 2, Project Gotham Racing 5 and at least one new IP from Black Tusk Studios.

There is absolutely no way Sony ships 16 million PS4's in 2013. It just doesn't make sense from a business standpoint, when you consider that the console wont even come out until November 2013, a lot of retailers would be sitting on unsold hardware.

It's better to simulate a shortage rather than see a bunch of new consoles available. We have to keep in mind that this thing will probably be in the $400-$500 range and new consoles usually start off slow and routine...

Infamous and Killzone aren't killer apps in my opinion, both recent sequels sold much less than the previous installments, you are also going by VG Chartz, which isn't the most accurate source.

We also have to remember that Infamous 2 was bundled, and Infamous 1 was given away as part of their "Were sorry" PSN hack package.

The smartest thing Sony will do this year is release GT6 on the PS3 instead of the PS4, it pretty much means the game...

I'm actually loving the new maps thus far, glad I got the Limited Edition of Halo 4 that came with the maps. Really adds to the multiplayer experience.

The Sega deals are good right now, if you buy Sonic the Fighters for 160 MS Points the game literally takes 20 minutes to complete and you'll get a full 400 Gamerscore. Virtual Fighter 2 is the same way, easy 800 Gamerscore for $4.

While I don't think Killzone or Infamous are huge sellers, they might have something new and interesting that could push consoles. The PS3 launched with Resistence and that game was pretty groundbreaking at the time.

Console launches are really a catch 22, you don't want to put out something huge early on, when the tech isn't as well known and when the install base isn't going to be huge. Nintendo is going through that right now.
