They have 20+ first party studios, some of those have multiple teams, why wouldn't they do both?
Doesn't Sony get timed DLC and content too? I mean Assassins Creed and even Destiny? Or is it only anti-consumer when Microsoft does it?
I'm a big Xbox fan, will buy Xbox One on day one, but I know there will most likely be at least 3 Kinect games, but I feel the majority wont be, they've already stated that all 15 are going to be full retail releases, not download or indie games.
Not sure why people thought Microsoft wouldn't still do games? They said before the reveal that it was about the hardware and E3 was for games.
If they didn't care about games, why put 8 gigs of RAM, 8 core custom CPU together? Why put 300,000 servers up and offer dedicated servers for every game on Xbox Live?
Funny how many people all of a sudden don't like extra features or hate media now that the Xbox One does that stuff in addition to playin...
Sony wasn't the only creator of Blu-Ray you know right? Also, Sony has patents in CD's and DVD players, so Microsoft used those before, and Sony uses Windows on their laptops. I think you are of the belief that they never work together? Which isn't the case.
So a PS4 developer says this...sounds legit!
They both have basically the same power, you will never see a third party game run 60fps on one and 30fps on the other. There shouldn't even be a 30fps game on next generation.
Well keep in mind this is rumor, this could have been the original plan, but plans change. I did the same thing, bought Homefront used and paid the $5.
Interesting to see if this is the same direction Sony will take, they are actually being smart and letting Microsoft take the brunt, not sure it'll matter much if both do the same thing.
I'm enjoying it, just wished they'd have gotten some better voice actors...lol
No, everything's a huge issue now, but if the PS4 did the same thing, at that point it would no longer be an issue.
I agree with you though, I mean I have an external HDD hooked into my Wii U, sometimes people need to shut up and game.
Pretty much the same thing that happens right now if you break the Wii U Gamepad, only thing is, you can probably replace the Kinect 2, you still cant buy a replacement Gamepad.
If Microsoft comes out with a $99 price point, expect the Xbox 360 to fly off shelves. People are so cynical on this site, but the Xbox 360 hasn't had a price drop in around 4 years.
Why are people bringing up Xbox One in an article about the Xbox 360? I see the Xbox 360 possibly getting a super slim and it'll retail for $99, or $149 with Kinect. Start putting out collections of platinum selling games, Gears 1, 2 and 3 in a pack, Halo pack, COD packs and that will se...
To be honest, I hardly ever make calls with my Smartphone, I use it for apps, texting, surfing the internet, but it's still a phone. Obviously making actual calls has taken a back seat these days.
What percentage of games make up the majority for a console? Third party right? Well the Xbox One will have over 90% of the same third party games as the PS4. Does that alone not constitute a games machine? That's a lot of games, obviously if they didn't care about games...
@amiga-man
When you say "Looks don't matter", you stop after that point, or they do matter. There is no "but", either they matter or they don't.
I'm sure they didn't matter when Sony unveiled the PS4 without showing it, but now they matter because the Xbox One is box shaped. That my friend is hypocrisy, and those bashing the Xbox One, might be in for some Karma when the PS4's box is shown, we don't know what it lo...
Agreed, I think some of it stems from the developers who have said this feature actually means the Xbox One can become more powerful over time.
It's huge, but the good points about the Xbox One are being ignored, like dedicated servers for every game on Xbox Live....you aren't hearing much about this game changing feature.
I already stated that I personally take issue with that, why not just employ Online Passes like Sony did?
That was the one thing I had a problem with, but at the end of the day for me personally, it isn't a deal breaker because of the amount of used games I buy. I've also looked at previous console launches and noticed that I never bought a single used game in the first two years of a consoles life, mainly because the good games, the exclusives, big name games, well ...
Quit stalking me kiddo, I'm not breaking any rules, just speaking my opinion like everyone else, just because mines different than yours doesn't mean mine is less valid.
Could be people wanted a clear picture from Sony and Microsoft before buying one. I love mine, just needs more games.
Good thing the consoles looks don't matter right? or so I was told in February. Anyway, indies did fun things with the original Kinect, can't wait to see some of what they do with this one.
I rarely buy used games, the fact is that the first two years of a consoles life, used games aren't much cheaper than new ones.
Looks clean, those cases will look great in my collection. (Guess people disagree that these cases will look good in my collection)
I have the game pre-ordered, but unless the Season Pass offers story DLC, I wont get it. I'm not really interested in multiplayer.
