They wanted to get the other stuff out of the way, which is what they said repeatedly leading up to the event. If Microsoft flatly saying this wasn't clue enough, the short one hour show should have clued you in more.
If they show all games at E3, good games, it will turn out to be a good thing. I personally wouldn't have wanted to see the presentation we saw on May 21'st at E3, which is what would have normally happened in the past.
You beat me to it, we aren't sure about the game thing, and you can fully use the controller with everything on Xbox One.
Just seems like a typical piece that we've been seeing recycled over and over the last few days.
I said it was a misleading title and it is, I don't care what some people think, I think for myself. I want to get an Xbox One, it doesn't really matter to me what some people on the internet thinks about that, or how many consoles A sells compared to B.
Nope, it'd be in my top 15 for sure, I still have my Limited Edition copy of it, I managed to get 100% of the Achievements as well, which is rare for me, but happened naturally with me just playing the online modes and beating the single player.
I think most gamer's will agree that this is actually a good thing, you no longer have to go to a certain area for indie or arcade games, there are just games. I think this will actually be helpful in the generation to come, and it'll maybe get people out of their comfort zone when it comes to the kind of games they like.
Sony did the only thing they could at their reveal, minimize the possibility of negatives and focus on the positives, and they did that very well.
When Sony came out and said "We're for gamer's, we are all about games.", it was very smart, because that is the key audience that will buy that console right away.
What Microsoft did was get the boring stuff out of the way, they ticked off some key gamer's, but they're obviously hoping ...
Are you surprised that people have different gaming tastes? Viva Pinata is a top 5 title for me this generation. I like all kinds of games, doesn't matter if they are controller based, motion based, or anything else. I like to game, have fun and I leave the drama for the young'uns to worry about.
I don't think it's a massive shaft to Microsoft, there is only so much time, and Microsoft always shows the latest COD demo, and probably Respawn Entertainments new game as well.
I'm looking forward to the gameplay reveal though, as I've already got the game pre-ordered. Even though we all hate things that are always online and Destiny is, it's just such an intriguing game!
Wow is the title misleading, Microsoft never said anything about losing anything...lol
If you don't want to use anything apart from the gaming aspects, then don't.
Despite all the negativity, these consoles are going to have some amazing games, I cant wait to see more.
No, I heard they're gonna use Wonderbook on stage for 20+ minutes and not be able to properly pull off a demo /s
Not sure why the trolls think they can just run amok in the Microsoft articles...smh
I loved the first one, but why would they think it's an exclusive?
I already have a Wii U, have had it since launch. I'll be getting an Xbox One as well, I just think I like a wide array of gaming options, and those Nintendo IP's are just so hard to pass up on.
I think you are just a gamer, I haven't really ever been outraged at any aspect of gaming in my 20+ years of being a gamer.
I roll with the punches so to speak, hopefully they ditch the used game fee idea, which was the main thing I was against. I think the actual tech behind the Xbox One is brilliant, love the controller, and dedicated servers on every single multiplayer game is a true game changer for a competitive gamer such as myself.
I've talke...
As a COD player since COD2, I'm so thankful the next gen Xbox version will be server based, the lag has gotten worse and worse.
It was the guy with the rumors who claimed it would be there, but Microsoft said the product isn't ready yet, so it wouldn't make sense to show off something still years away from ever seeing store shelves.
I'll be paying close attention to the device when they do decide to show it off.
Since when is November 2010 considered half of this generation? Xbox 360 came out in 2005, Kinect isn't even 3 years old yet.
Persistence pays off, if you look at Apple you see an American company can break through over there, I don't think they need to be number one or anything, just better than they are now.
If Microsoft is willing to get Steven Spielberg for Halo, and pay 400 million for NFL, I'm sure the sky is the limit on buying games that the Japanese will enjoy.
The fact that Kinect 2 doesn't require a lot of space is going to be helpful as well.
This was something I was very worried about, I spend so much time getting almost 100k Gamerscore, I wanted to carry everything over. That is 8 years of Achievements to have unlocked, glad they are evolving them with the next Xbox.
Of course! I mean it sucks, but I want new consoles, I have a Wii U, and I'll get an Xbox One at launch and a PS4 next year most likely, as Sony has quite a few solid titles coming to PS3 this year, so I'm not in a hurry to upgrade that.
My Xbox One will just go in the living room, put the old Xbox 360 in my room or office I guess. Since nobody but Nintendo are offering backwards compatibility, we're all equally screwed with the new consoles in that way.
