Fresh content is always great! Some people might be content with just finishing their $60 worth of game, but I buy Season Passes if it's a game I really like, the Forza Horizon DLC is epic, they even have an off road expansion pack that adds another 10+ hours of game play in the game.
I think we wont see any console near the 100 million mark again. It isn't just the tablet and smartphone issues, it's that we'll probably see a shorter console cycle and that will limit sales in the end. I figure all three consoles will sell around 10-12 million a year for 5 years.

Well no duh, Nintendo has the number one selling handheld and came off the 100+ million selling Wii. Also, Nintendo hasn't lost consumer confidense by releasing ad-on after ad-on and then dropping support almost imediately.
Nintendo is still in good shape, with a strong lineup of software, they could easily be 7-10 million units ahead of the competition by the time they launch.
Not sure about the loading times, but I can actually make it to the E-Shop without getting an error and sent back to the start menu like before.
I even have the wired adapter, but it didn't make a difference. Glad to see Nintendo address some of these issues in a timely manner. Really looking forward to seeing what the big update later this year has to offer.

I would't say they hijacked anything, what makes them worse than any other company? They are all after money in the end. There isn't a single company that really gives a crap about gamer's as a whole, it's a nice tag line, but isn't reality.

I said outside of Nintendo and you list two out of three for Nintendo. LBP is fun, but I am not sure it's a huge seller anymore. I think when it was fresh and new it sold the best, LBP 2 didn't sell nearly as well.

Hey, I love Rayman...but how do those amazing platform games sell? The reason we don't see a lot of platform games outside of Nintendo is because people aren't buying them!
I would say the only thing I could see complaining about is lack of true backwards compatibility. We haven't seen the console itself, so cant really complain about that. No price to complain about yet either.
The idea that it's close to PC architecture as a negative blows my mind, that is why the Xbox 360 got so many great versions of 3rd party games, you want to make it easier on programmers, not tougher.
I don't know if I believe this or not, I think platform games are a thing of the past if your name isn't Mario. I wouldn't mind seeing another Crash game if they did it right. I think the last decent on I played was on the Gamecube years ago.
Aren't the PS4's specs a few years old already? I think the headline is a little decieving to say the least. Maybe some non gaming setups, or stock Dell PC's. I know a few people with $1200+ setups that had those specs outdone over a year ago.
That is the thing with technology, by the time you come to market there is already something better.
Last in the traditional sense probably, looks like Sony and Microsoft's next consoles will offer streaming capabilities, so they really don't need much more hardware to put out better graphics and games.
As long as people like the games and they are good quality, I don't see the problem with cranking out more of what the people actually want! From a sales point of view, it's obvious people like the games.
People want to complain about this or that, but I believe this is a huge obstecle that many smaller devs just cannot afford. I'd love to see them cut the price to patch a game.
You might assume that if a game needs a patch that it's broken, but EVERY single game this generation got a patch. Even with testers and beta's it's easy to miss something, and when a million or more people are playing through a game, it's easy to find bugs and issues.

I live in the country of Florida, the best and only internet in this whole area is DSL, it's not even cable internet here! Also, I'm only allowed 150 gigs a month because there is bandwidth issues in the county. I go through between 115-140 every month and that is just with the occasinal arcade game and streaming Netflix, Hulu or a movie over Xbox Live.

Wait, so the RROD is looming large in peoples minds when the original Xbox was a beast that never broke, the Xbox 360s has had no problems for 3 years and Microsoft owned up and offered free warrenties for 3 years on all older Xbox 360 models?
As for Xbox Live, there are other options, and we don't know about Sony's "Tiered" plan yet, I highly doubt they'll offer completely free online.

We haven't seen the PS4, don't know the price or release date. We don't know the finalized specs. We only saw Killzone running on the console for a few minutes, everything else was tech demo's and on PC.
We have seen ABSOLUTLY nothing revealed by Microsoft, jusr rumor and speculation. The same rumor and speculation that dogged Sony and that ultimately turned out to be untrue as well.

They should have learned from Diablo 3, you cant force something that isn't 100% on the population. The technology just isn't there and in the end people will just find a way around it if they want.
