The original Xbox was losing money on every one sold, also the chip needed for that Xbox was stopping production. Both of those things forced the 360 to come out earlier than they wanted and it also meant they had to drop support on it. I don't think they will drop support of the Xbox 360, it's been marketed to a different group of people now and they will be able to continue using the 360 for various other options, and 3rd party games of course.
Even though they were...
Great comment, bubble up for you. Microsoft isn't the only one with a closed system, you have to be careful about who you let into your infrastructure and Microsoft is a software company at heart. I don't blame them for being a bit more closed off, they have lightened up more recently and hopefully they will offer some decent indie games on the next Xbox.
At this point, we know absolutely nothing about what the next Xbox will bring to the table, it doesn't really ...
I have a feeling if Microsoft ever thought the Gears franchise was in danger they'd step in, that franchise has made Microsoft the most money this generation outside of Halo.
I agree with the foreigner thing as well, I believe that is the reason so many left, that or Microsoft had a deal for more Gears games next gen, and all of those developers didn't want to get stuck making the same franchise for the next decade. I can totally understand that, which is why I like ...
The main thing is having compelling hardware at launch, and have the features you showed off available. No two gamepads allowed to play on the same console was a bit of a downer, but the launch wasn't awful by any means. They probably overestimated how much people would want NSMBU. I think people have already had their fill of that game on the DS, 3DS and Wii.
As long as Sony and Microsoft have games, a decent price and something for everyone, they will do fine.
Uhhh, just because they are advertising other peoples video games doesn't mean they hate Nintendo or are doing that on purpose. You get the same ads with PS and MS items as well.
Though I do agree that Nintendo and Amazon don't do business together, that doesn't mean that Amazon is childish or would act that way.
That could go for any company, but if they say the words backwards compatibility, we're on the same wavelength.
The next Xbox will play 90+% of the same exact games as the next PlayStation, they will both be pretty similar in power, both will use key core exclusives (Halo, Fable, Forza, Gears/Uncharted, God Of War, Killzone, Infamous, both will mix a few new franchises in, both will have a camera and try to cater to every type of gamer.
So while I think...
Force you to have an online connection at all times for the single player? That is something I'm positive it'll do better than Halo!
Uhhuh
Gears Judgment! Nice to see a Gears game do so well at launch yet again. It took me a bit to warm up to it, mostly because it plays a bit like Unreal Tournament, but I'm really enjoying it now, already re-upped twice!
I think your gunning for Strongman's title of worst troll.
I own 256 Xbox 360 games, owned a 360 since launch, never had RROD, bought a new 360 when the 360s was introduced and still haven't had any issues. I had a few disks break, sent them in and were replaced, they broke because of the cases, not my Xbox 360. Not sure if people were kicking over their consoles or something, but my games are all in new condition and very well taken care of.
Any ty...
So the Xbox 720 already needs saving? lol
They wont give up 1 billion a year in XBL Gold, they might offer some games, but no way will online be free. We don't even know what Sony will charge, if anything for the PS4 online service.
Well he said people could fit it for the Wii U, but URE3 looks pretty good.
The new eco-friendly Xbox 360 cases are the worst, I've broken around 3-4 games by putting games back and taking them out, mostly COD games.
So you are accusing me of defending Microsoft, while you've been slurping the Sony flavored Kool Aid? You claim to be a "gamer", yet you openly wish for a console maker to die off.....
You sir are what is wrong with the industry and community, it isn't me, I stick up for gaming no matter what the company, check my history, I've done the same for Nintendo and Sony when necessary, I believe gamer's should back each other up and we definitely shouldn...
Are you discounting Microsoft before they even announce anything? lol
Also, is there any official announcement from Sony stating they are second? I'm not trying to be a downer, but both Nintendo and Microsoft saw vast sales improvement from last gen to this one, only Sony went the other direction.
I think Sony has done a lot of right things (from the initial look) of what the PS4 has to offer, sans backwards compatibility.
To discount M...
Props to Sony on those innovations, Nintendo has really been innovative since the 80's as well, and we can thank Microsoft for being the first console out of the box to include a high speed modem, HDD and the first home HD capable console, as well as the first home console to offer an Achievement system.
All three companies are at their best when they innovate and don't follow.
We all know that Microsoft is coming out with a new console this year, November is the holidays and makes the most sense.
They have plenty of time to show off the console before E3 or at E3 if they so choose. Honestly I understand this is Sony land or the Sony Defense Team network, but it makes sense to wait and build up hype, like Microsoft or hate them, you can bet your butt that everyone will be tuning in to what Microsoft has to show, doesn't matter if you tune in to...
How can you be on "edge" about the next Xbox when we've heard nothing about it? Seems to me you already have your mind made up.
I haven't decided on the PS4 yet, need to see it, see the price point and release date, and see some games for the thing.
Did you know the PS4 has a light up controller? And a "Kinect like" camera itself?
Mark Of The Ninja is an amazing game! Great deals, I have to say that Microsoft has really had some awesome deals over the last two months or so.
