Why not give it a chance? The developers have familiarity with the 2.5 D style because they worked on Metroid. People are really quick to blame things for the style of game, but that could just be the style they wanted to portray.
It looks a lot like Mark Of The Ninja, which is a fantastic XBLA game, might wanna try it before complaining/condemning it.
As I said before, there is no bad press for companies. Microsoft has a lot of other things going for it right now to increase stock though, surface is doing well, Xbox 360 is doing well, Windows of course is doing well, and Microsoft is looking like they are set up for the future, I'm sure once we see the next Xbox things will improve even more.
Hopefully they bust out a billion dollar ad campaign for the next Xbox, they'll need to reach as many people as possible.
Netflix finally added some Cartoon Network shows, so I started watching for the first time in a while, but Red Box streaming on 360 is what the cool kids do now.

See people were poking fun because Deep Silver said they wont support the Wii U right now, but now that they are saying they wont support the next Xbox and PlayStation at first the picture gets clearer.
Developers wanted this generation to keep going, some might have felt limited by tech, but I can promise you much more of them wanted it to keep going because there is a huge install base, nobody wants to spend millions developing a launch game that will sell poorly.

There isn't a huge install base at the moment, but Wii U owners are starved for games, it could have sold a million easy in my opinion, I guess we will never know, but I think people would have bought it.
5-6 million is realistic considering it would span two consoles, but had they released on Wii U as well, they might have hit their mark faster.
Not sure why there isn't still a lot of buzz around this game right now, it was simply stunning to play, look at and is my favorite game of this year. If you haven't played it I recommend it highly. Amazing!
Why not? Halo 4 is already past 8 million in just 5 months. You don't think a next gen Halo game has a shot at beating 12 million? I think it's not only possible, but likely.
Damn right it matters, we've been introduced to an ecosystem with Achievements and Trophies and those things along with our ID's need to carry over and continue on.
I think the people that say "Just keep your old consoles", probably don't have all of them, it'd be very difficult to keep a PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox 720 and Wii U all hooked up, and it'd be horribly cluttered. Hopefully the Xbox 720 is BC, I don't believe rumors, so I'm keep...
I think they take 3 years with the main installments, so I'd bank on a 2015 Halo 5 launch on the Xbox 720. By that time the install base should be large enough to warrant a Halo release and it'll do its typical 10-12 million, maybe more?
Looking forward to it very much, but would really love a Halo 2 HD remake to tide us over.

Agreed, do people not realize there are gag orders and agreements not to talk about the next Xbox? That is the whole reason the controllers for the dev kits are identity marked, if your controller is one that gets leaked, you face legal action.
Tomb Raider is awesome, I'd recommend it to anyone, the best of the entire series and one of the best games this year!
People act as if developer teams stay together forever, I'm sure a good portion of Rocksteady's team from the first Batman game weren't there for the second. This new game is using all the assets and engine that Rocksteady left, these are professional developers, the game will still be solid.
I'll be sure to save your name my friend. You honestly think new consoles will take off just like that? That hasn't happened since the Wii, which had a $249 price tag. The new consoles from Sony and Microsoft are going to be anywhere from $400-$500 and a lot of people aren't going to pay that much right away.
Parents, casuals and families will all stick with lower priced consoles, just look at this past generation, how long did the PS2 outsell the PS3?

If people think the next Xbox and PlayStation are going to break sales records they'll probably be in for quite a shock. Sales will probably look like they do now, especially in North America.
I'd bet my car that the current 360 and PS3 will outsell the 720 and PS4 for at least a year with the new consoles on the market. If we see prices drop on the 360, PS3 and even Wii, that will create a ton of competition and cheap consoles with huge back catalogs.
Glad you understood what I was trying to convey, always on as an option is great, but forced is wrong and would alienate a lot of people. He wasn't clear if he was speaking about DRM or just how cell phones, 360, PS3 and all of those can be always on, like my Xbox 360 is always on, but I can play games with it offline.
Good job Ubisoft, this game looks great. I guess this new Splinter Cell works sort of as a reboot to the franchise, which worked well with Tomb Raider. Hopefully the Wii U version gets some love.
