Well it's hard to confirm games for a console that has had no actual reveal or acknowledgment.
You can probably guess some of the third party titles though, like Assassins Creed 4 Black Flag, Destiny, Watch Dogs and Thief, anything first party would be real speculation, like Ryse, Alan Wake 2, Project Gotham Racing 5 ect...
Viva Pinata 2 is already out on the Xbox 360, it's called Viva Pinata Trouble In Paradise. There is also a Viva Pinata Mario Party styled games called Viva Pinata Party Animals.
Duh comes to mind...
I am all for optional always on, my Xbox 360 updates and continues downloads once I've technically turned it off, but forced DRM is a problem because society isn't ready from a technical standpoint yet.
We are the consumers, we dictate what we want, when Sony came out with a digital only PSP people responded by not buying it, that sent a clear message. If we don't want DRM games or consoles, we should close our wallets up.
No offense because you seem to believe things like the next Xbox will be DRM and not play used games, but an average person would have to be a complete and utter idiot to have ever believed the next Xbox would do either of those things.
Microsoft is a lot of things, but greedy is the main thing, no way in hell would I ever see them concede 30+ million console owners who have a 360 and don't have it hooked up to the internet.
So I never believed that crap in...
Hopefully we wont have to worry about this with the next Xbox, new rumors sort of debunked the DRM and no used game rumors, so hopefully we get a proper console.
Terrible is just subjective, I doubt two people have the same exact taste in games, and sometimes I've found quite a bit of fun in a game that critics hated, same with movies that get panned.
The Nintendo Network had maintenance once this year, not sure when Microsoft does theirs, never had any down time in 8 years with them. Maybe they switch people to another server while they work on one, then switch back? I don't know, but it does seem every other week is some maintenance for PSN.
If anyone hasn't played these games, I highly recommend this deal, these are some of the best games on XBLA, and Splosion Man and MS Splosion Man are amazing platformers.
I'm not a teen, but I have a lot of gaming friends here in the states and I'd say around 50% of them will get a new console this year, I know I am, maybe two, depends on what these things look like, cost, and the games.
If you are a developer you want your game to reach the most amount of people, makes sense to put it on PS3/360 because there are over 150 million consoles in the world between the two, and the Wii U is growing everyday.
The one thing I kind of dislike about next gen is that you end up getting games that don't really show off what the new hardware can do, I wouldn't want to play this game on the next Xbox or PlayStation if it's going to look and play pretty much th...
Just so you know, that game wasn't made by LucasArts, Battlefront 3 just proved to be a bit too ambitious, and if you are actually looking for something to really blame, blame the game Haze, which tanked horribly and caused the studio (Free Radical) to shut down, Crytek ended up buying what was left, but the tech died with the studio.
Free Radical was contracted to make Star Wars Battlefront 3 and 4, but after Haze they shuttered the doors for good, the footage from a fe...
The Crysis games look great, but are boring and not really even games I've ever completed. Graphics are kind of important, but we've hit a point with technology where everything is looking pretty damn good as it is, but if the gameplay mechanics and story aren't good, I'll pass on a game with great graphics every single time.
Why are people still harping on this rumor when there are more recent rumors kind of clearing up the old rumors?
Looks like the Xbox Mini will be always online because it's like a Roku player, someone obvious thought they found something when they came across some document and reported it on before trying to get facts. I remember last year we heard rumors that the next Xbox wouldn't have an optical drive, people freaked out, turns out it was probably just this.
Well Microsoft dropped support of the original Xbox because the company that made the chip-set stopped producing them, and the console itself was losing money on every one sold, that was just a smart business decision.
All signs point to Microsoft continuing support on the 360, since it's so cheap to make and they have been making a killing off of them, they have to be, there hasn't been a price cut in almost 4 years now.
Throw the Xbox Mini in the mi...
Cliffy used to be cool, but now every other word out of his mouth is something ignorant or how digital only is the greatest thing ever. I guess once he stopped working for Epic he was free to speak his mind, kind of puts things in perspective. Wonder how many people are working for one of these companies and secretly hates it or has strong feelings about things like DRM or DLC.
This is N4G, we can only believe obviously bogus and bad rumors where Microsoft is concerned.
Xbox 720 is going to be good, it's going to have great games, features and entertainment, and it's going to play used games and not force always online...your move Sony.
Ya, it's weird, I called out Godmars for trolling another Microsoft topic, then I got hit with a trolling moderation and lost a bubble. This site is such a joke when you have mods that don't follow the rules or go by their own agenda's.
When that idiot Strongman keeps getting bubbles and yet is the worst troll I've ever seen, you know something is wrong.
On the topic though, it seems N4G for the most part only wants to believe all the negative X...
Nintendo and Microsoft stocks way up! Hmmmm
It's all about how you unveil your product, announcing your product by saying it isn't always online would be a terrible way to reveal it.
Some more positive rumors have surfaced, and we still haven't gotten definitive answers from Sony on the used game issue. It's not like the console is coming out in a few weeks, we literally have close to 8 months (most likely) before they release, you cant even pre-order a PS4 yet, so I think patience is required, let Mic...
