Not really, if they were going to go with DRM console they would have kept him, firing him only makes sense if MS were going in a different direction.
The thing is, people can be confused when they think they are onto some supposed "fact", if it turns out this Xbox Mini that you need to play Xbox 360 games is always online, well there ya go, crisis averted, if it turns out your Xbox 720 needs to be online to use apps, well then...no shit....
Microsoft did the right thing, especially if they aren't heading in a DRM direction, although the free publicity could do them a lot of good in the long run, and every single gamer will tune in to Microsoft's reveal to hear truth from rumor.
Give me a break, I didn't buy into the whole PS3 is dead thing, and I'm not getting into this.
One! The Walking Dead! I'm the man!
Already voted! Avengers, Ted, Forward Until Dawn and I skipped the vampire category...
Definitely not ALL about gaming, but gaming is still something you can do with them. Sort of like how smartphones aren't about making phone calls anymore, but that is what people do the most with them.
Yes, yes it will.
There is always people that held out, but $99 would definitely make a 360 an impulse buy and there is a lot of parents and cheap people in the world. The Xbox 360 has hit saturation with core gamer's, but there are a lot more people in the world and especially in the US.
If everyone in North America already had a Xbox 360, why is it number one here for 24 straight months? I think there is still room to go, and a $99 Xbox 360 would sit nicely between Apple TV, Roku and va...
Destiny has a campaign, but you cant play it without online connection. You can play the Starhawk game without being online, while MAG and Warhawk had no campaign whatsoever, making those games worthless if you aren't into online gaming or want a game for both campaign and multiplayer. This explains why MAG, Socom Confrontation and Warhard are like $1.99 now at Gamestop.
Bungie also opens the floodgates to DRM on home console games!
The Wii U should have a good holiday because they'll have games by then and possibly a price drop. They will also benefit because new consoles from Microsoft and Sony will probably see very limited stock to start with, throw in a much cheaper Wii U price and you have a good scenario.
Where the Wii u might find a challenge is from the Xbox 360 here in the states around the holidays, if a $99 Xbox 360 is available at that time, and especially around Black Friday, that thin...
I should clarify that I have no desire to site at a desk and play PC games, I grew up on consoles and prefer console gaming, the console community and things like that. More power to the PC community, but it's not for me.
I don't hate the Vita or anything, but I don't own one, and unless the price drops significantly I probably wont get one anytime soon, especially with the next Xbox and PS4 right around the corner.
I think the Vita seems like a nice piece of hardware, but the handheld race was over before it started, it seems like Nintendo is the name people trust and look to for handheld games, at least in my opinion.
Don't all consoles have to be online to use movie apps or entertainment apps? Would totally laugh my ass off at all the fools that ran with the story if it turns out you don't need to be always online for games.
I have all the consoles and a PC, but I don't game on PC because its never appealed to me, and I doubt my PC could run Runescape, let alone some high end graphical powerhouse game....lol
Do you stealth troll every Microsoft topic? I've never seen a positive remark from you.
When I turn my Xbox 360 on, or my PS3 for that matter, the Kinect and Eye both are always on and "watching me", but if you actually think someone is on the other end spying, I'm not sure what to say to you...that is just crazy conspiracy theory BS right there....People have had Web cams and things like that for a very long time.
Don't like it? Don'...
It's options, and they will have the same gaming features Sony and Nintendo offer, and 90+% of the same exact games as the PS4, so why not go after a broader audience if you can?
I use my Xbox 360 for just about everything as it is, when they added ESPN on there I was in heaven, so many games, sports and other events to watch for free!
Microsoft has a ton of money, the most first party studios and they are aiming to take over people's living rooms...d...
How is it favoring? Do you not think Microsoft has enough time, money and talent to do both without one or the other suffering?
People act as if Microsoft has no money or something, they right now have the most first party studios of the big three, though 90% haven't done anything in over 3 years, so you be the judge on what they are doing (Next gen games duh!)
I don't buy the always online rumor, I think a lot of games on consoles with be DRM, but I ...
Nintendo has the handheld market on lock down, I don't usually buy the competing handheld because Nintendo has never lost a handheld war, they always come out on top, even with less powerful hardware.
Luigi's Mansion 2 is incredible and I'm excited for Animal Crossing!
Where's Godmars in this rumor article? Xbox 720 might have found a way to be true BC, even with arcade titles! Huge feather in the cap if true, also....lmfao at fools who mixed up the boxes! Guess we can hold off crowning Sony until the next rumor!
