Not to be a downer, but wasn't everyone bashing this exact same story yesterday when it was five reasons the next Xbox will dominate?
I think it's foolish to think any console will dominate anything, especially this early in the game, no pricing, release date or console has been seen yet. Let's wait and get some real info on all of these things before setting out to crown anyone.
I'm all for opinion pieces, but lets keep it in perspective and...
For me, I don't think I'll buy any next gen launch games that are pretty much the same as current gen versions. I think the graphics will obviously look better on the newer systems, but I want games for the new consoles that were made strictly for that console.
Although Destiny is a bit of the breaking of the rule, because I already have that bad boy pre-ordered.
Sweet! Might pick the game up on Wii u just to give me something to play on it....ughh, but no Achievements....hmm
Ummm, I think it's what some people consider a "Bonus room" or something along those lines, we don't have basements here in Florida and so we often have a Living Room and Florida room, the Florida room usually has a lot more windows and is sometimes referred to as a Sun Room. I have mine setup as a retro gaming room, old school 55 inch tube tv, Dreamcast, Gamecube, NES, SNES, Genesis, N64, PS2, Xbox all hooked up.
Well I like it because it's fast paced, fun and the community lasts a long time. When I first got into COD (COD2 Xbox 360), I didn't have a ton of money, COD games tend to last the full year, you always have a stellar and large community, and as a competitive gamer, it really is the only game that some of the other competitive gamer's will buy for the entire year.
The hate comes from it being popular, a lot of people hate on popular things, also it comes from the ...
Interesting if true, it might mean the next Xbox would be very game oriented if they are trying to market a completely separate device for the apps and things like that.
Microsoft is more shrouded in secrecy than the Dark Side of the Force.
*Edit*
Well if people are going to disagree with me, at least state why, I love a good debate, but all the focused hate gets rather annoying.
Not sure why people would disagree with what I said, some...
While it's very possible the next Xbox could do very, very well. We haven't even had a reveal yet, so crowning anything at this point is rather pointless.
We have no price point, features, games or release date. I do think it can be fun to speculate from time to time, but to declare a winner before an announcement is asinine.
Halo Wars is my favorite RTS on a console, really wish we would have gotten the chance to see the Gears Of War RTS, I could see something good coming from that. Still have my Halo Wars Collectors Edition on my shelf.
I think some RTS games work well on consoles, it just takes the right one and a developer willing to do the work.
Activision classified the Wii U version in with the other next gen versions for PS4/Next-Box. Activision likes that money, and realizes the Wii U is a viable platform. Heck, they released COD games on the regular Wii consistently, doubt they'd stop now...also, the Wii U logo was seen.
Well I think the Resident Evil game might do above expectations, but Lost Planet probably wont. I played the 3DS version of Resident Evil and it is the RE game that RE6 probably should have been, and at a discounted price, it might surprise some people.
On the other hand, Lost Planet 3 looks a bit generic and I'm not a fan of what Spark Unlimited has done in the past.
When have I bashed any systems? I think that the way this site tends to lean (Heavily Sony), I state my opinions in a positive manner and a lot of people don't like that here.
I see the "supposedly" thrown in too, feel free to message me if you're interested in adding me on Xbox 360, PS3, Wii or Wii U, though I don't remember my Wii Friends Code offhand.
Every Xbox has had PC architecture, it was originally the "Direct Xbox" for use of Direct-X.
I've heard different things, I'm not really a numbers guy, don't care about them, just care enough for these things to make enough to warrant games and new consoles in the future, but I thought I read they shipped over 5 million consoles, or something to that affect.
I used to like this guy, and everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but he pushes developer ideas that only help developers and don't seem to do much for gamer's, he backs digital only, always online, DLC, day one DLC, Micro-Transactions and the list goes on.
He isn't what I'd consider "gamer friendly".
I think my favorite slogan from Sony was "Live in your world, play in ours". Something about that was magical at the time, probably because I had a terrible job and used to game to get away from real world issues.
Everyone deserves a second chance, business or not. Do you not understand that game development is a fragile ecosystem at the moment? More and more developers are leaving console games, more and more people are saying consoles are on the way out, and here you are showing no pity when yet another developer closes up.
Are you a fan of gaming?
I think the next Xbox and PlayStation could see some developers not develop for the consoles right away, and the same reason as to why some aren't developing for the Wii U right now, the install base just isn't large enough for every developer to jump in.
Even developers like Deep Silver said they will "eventually" develop for the next Xbox and PlayStation, but not right away.
I'd expect in a year or so most will jump on board, where a...
Playing elsewhere or waiting for some quality games to justify the purchase? The Wii U didn't have very many compelling launch games, I bought one for the future prospects, which is the same reason I bought a PS3 at launch.
If they show some games, possibly offer a price break, they could be fine. We had all the doom and gloom talk over the 3DS as well, games and a price cut stopped all of that nonsense.
Good developers, bad publisher. EA always wants to reach the highest level of potential buyers, which means their games are often dumbed down, and not faithful to the audience.
1.Show the specs in a power point style presentation.
2.Announce for sure that there is no DRM
3.Announce that the next Xbox will play used games
4.Show off the OS, the new XBL and those features.
5.Show the new Kinect and what it's capable of
6.Show the actual console, and name the thing.
7.Show some of the entertainment options and features
8.Show SOME games, but save the majority for E3, I want surprises at E3, so show the COD stu...
