It wouldn't need to be all of that, a megaton would be having Respawn Entertainment at the Microsoft E3 event and announce the new game is a Microsoft exclusive.
The creators of Call Of Duty finally coming out with a new franchise and it being an Xbox exclusive would have huge implications.
Exactly, I'm sure the core will come out and buy the next Xbox and PlayStation during the holidays, but when 2014 rolls around and there is a laps in new games, we could see the same problem, we'll also see developers a little fearful to jump right into next gen with such a small install base to start with.
Keep everything? Not sure why people are so fast to get rid of games they spent so much money on. I still have all of mine on every console.
Is six months a slow death now? I think the Wii U needs games, if they come out with their killer apps and it still doesn't sell, maybe we can talk about this in a couple of years.
Nintendo clearly wasn't ready for launch, they pushed back a lot of their games and the features promised weren't ready at the launch. The Wii U is a quality system though, and I believe we might see similar sales patterns for the next Xbox and PlayStation, great at first while the cor...
I think if they show the actual console people will go nuts, of course you'll get people who will claim to not like the design, but that's going to happen anyway.
I want to see the console, for me that would be huge. I don't expect a ton of secret games to be shown, Microsoft will want to save the big news for E3.
Bring it! I'm ready to revel in the gaming goodness!
The ending was just a dream! People would have flipped out now days withe the ending! lol
Damn! Go Sega!
I put a ton of time in Fall Of Man online when the PS3 released, it was a lot of fun, Resistance 2 was a letdown, but Resistance 3 was an amazing shooter with a ton of personality, the problem is that the community never really took off like the first Resistance.
I'd be open to another in the series if it was done the same way the last game was done.
I don't care if it's Xbox, Nintendo or Sony, what's good for one is good for the other. Hypocrisy isn't right no matter what, so if someone said "Let's wait and see" where the Xbox is concerned, and then said "PS4 gonna own!" in the same type of article, there is a problem.
Most gamer's don't care about dominating consoles, and I doubt that most gaming news is Sony related, especially since there are two other companies that do...
The main thing is that people misconstrue what a developer says in regards to the Wii U, like the other day when a developer said their Wii U dev kits were collecting dust, it wasn't because the Wii U lacks power or isn't interesting, it was because the install base wasn't large enough to take the risk at this time.
We've heard plenty of good things about the Wii U, and I shouldn't have to remind everyone that the PS3 struggled with developers in the begi...
Love free games, the first one was fun but this one is much better, and 400 Gamerscore isn't too shabby!
Well there are licenses that can expire and things like that. I had around $70 worth of downloaded games on my Wii, my Wii broke, bought a new one, and they wouldn't let me have the games again. So it ended up being a waste.
I only have a 150 gig cap on my internet, if I go over 3 times they terminate my service and are the only ones in this area. I get pretty close to my cap just with a download here or there and Netflix.
Digital will never be cheaper ...
Microsoft probably wont do this, they have a lot of relationships with retailers and they wont want to upset that balance at all. That is the whole reason they didn't do that this generation, and why I figured they wouldn't block used games.
I'm not a digital fan, too much can go wrong, but I can see how some might like it, just not me. I'd rather drive, pick up the game I want, come home and play it, not try to download a 20+ gig game for 10+ hours and eat u...
This is great news, Overrun is an amazingly fun game mode, cant wait to try out this new map. Even though the game started with minimal maps, they've really made up for it recently, the maps are all well designed as well.
Microsoft did the same thing when the Xbox 360 was being named, I don't know how old you are, and that isn't a knock, but the Xbox 360 came out 8 years ago, and the rumors before it released were Xbox Fusion.
Still from Destiny game reveal with the Xbox logo next to the Infinity logo. Plus throw in the fact that Windows 8 will probably be heavily used with it, turn the 8 on the side, there ya go. That makes the most sense to me, the marketing will just be crazy easy. ...
Did nobody watch the Bungie reveal of Destiny? http://i.imgur.com/lcAeopT....
That is a still from the reveal video and we clearly see an 8 on its side, which is Infinity.
Wasn't a employee wide leak of a memo stating that you can watch Blu Ray movies and play single player games offline a better unofficial confirmation of that? Actually most of the newer rumors all said that it wasn't always online.
Anyway, I'll probably play this game online to get the full experience, but I'm glad it isn't forced always online. That is the one thing that bugs me a bit about Destiny, it's forced online, no single player without it.
I've been playing COD since COD2 on the Xbox 360 when it launched. I like the game, lots of people do. I am very interested to see this new engine and game playing on the next Xbox.
My clan plays mostly COD games competitively, each new year brings the new game and we eagerly await that. We play some Gears and Halo as well, but mostly COD, it's the largest game and most competitive. A lot of people are going to be tuning in to see this game, I understand it isn't...
Well if it's true that Windows 8 is going to be part of the next Xbox, Indie's might be able to self publish for the small fee that is required on Windows 8 PC, which is like $60 I believe? Anyway, if rumors are anything to go on, Microsoft will have a more open service that is more inviting to indie's, Free To Play and hopefully MMORPG's, that was one thing that was missing in my opinion.
Hopefully we'll see some of those things come together on all of t...
