My only question is why are people still bringing up a used game fee when Microsoft has said repeatedly that there is no used game fee. It's always connected true, but you don't have to be online or connected to the internet 24/7 to play games.
If you are afraid of someone spying on you, don't buy it, but I don't think the industry is going to change because of one console. If you look at Online Passes, a lot of people thought those were the worst thing ever,...
Hopefully both, but if they are both above $400 I'll stick with the Xbox One for now, and buy the PS4 next year or when they drop the price. Oddly enough, the PS3 has given me added incentive not to buy a PS4 right away because they have some great looking games coming out.
I think you put too much stock in internet ramblings, if the games are good, and the price is good, it'll most likely do pretty well.
Microsoft has a ton of money, we'll start seeing ads, and when E3 rolls around and we get a good look at the games, people will most likely want one. Some people are just gamer's, they'll want to play the games, they wont get caught up in all the random stuff.
That's how I look at it, I've always been ...
Not a fanboy, nor working for any gaming company. I just like to game, DRM is needing a constant connection or you cannot play games, from what I understand that isn't the case with Xbox One. I already have a constantly connected Kinect, PS Eye and other devices.
I have no desire to be "taken seriously" on N4G, as that would require me to hate on everything and instead of actually gaming, I'd have to spend all of my time whining and complaining.
Give me games to buy for my Xbox One and I'm a happy camper, also want a price point and firm release date.
I am planning to buy one, just pointing out that slamming one company without knowing 100% of the plans for the other is ignorant. Game on!
It just launched, give it time to build up. They shouldn't just release everything at once, that'd be a mistake.
Considering we have no confirmation on some of these things, I kind of doubt it.
We don't know Sony's stance on a camera with every console, we don't know about their used game stance yet either.
I think the Xbox One has the potential to do very well, it'll have 90% of the same games as the PS4, dedicated servers on every game, and a lot of other options as well. I think it'll come down to individual preference. I spent 75% of my gaming time with...
There is no confirmation on a used game fee, they have come out and said you can in fact lend a game to a friend, and I don't care about Kinect spying, if you have a Kinect or PS Eye right now are you worried about spying? I kind of doubt it.
Online authentication can mean anything really, I'm connected all the time with my 360, PS3, Wii U. I think they are entitled to try and fight piracy if they can. People don't seem to mind this with Steam and other games, ha...
Not really, it's a cheap alternative for a lot of people. It also has a huge back catalog of games.
There's actually around 48 million Xbox Live accounts. Some people also buy more than one console per household, I've got 3 now, my original launch date console, my 360s and the Gears Of War 3 360s with 320 gig HDD.
Wonder if this shocks anyone? I called this a while ago, we haven't even seen a price drop in 4 years, so if they do drop the price to $99, it'll sell pretty well. Maybe they'll even release a new Xbox 360 super slim, which would be cool.
I played through it twice so far, I got the MGS backwards compatible PS3. Played through it again when they added Trophies.
The HD Collection was a Christmas gift, I probably would have picked it up on PS3 since I played those games on PS2 to begin with.
So weird that this game is coming to current gen consoles, but I guess it makes sense with the larger install base. Just finished playing the HD Collection on my Xbox 360 so I'll be ready!
Really looking forward to those 15 exclusives, even if some are Kinect, majority wont be, although they might have some optional feature.
Those servers are calling my name, every game on dedicated servers is a true game changer in my opinion. Could very well be the only place to play a COD game on a real server, not peer 2 peer.
If it works like it looks to from what I've seen so far, it'll be a nice addition to the Xbox One, just like Siri is for iPhones and I'm excited to see if it works.
I liked the original Kinect, and I feel like if they don't force it on games, let it become a natural progression, like with Mass Effect 3, Skyrim, Forza 4 and Halo CEA, then it'll do well.
Keep it as an option for most games, and it'll help bring up the level of immersio...
Heck yes! I have a pre-preorder at a local game store and I'm on the "First to know" list on Gamestop, whichever one can promise me one at midnight on launch day can shut up and take my money!
I always buy consoles at launch, the experience of being among the first to take the console home, open it up and plug it in for the first time is unmatched!
Game on! Next generation awaits!
Microsoft, you guys should of just made yourselves clear to begin with, or kept your mouth shut sort of like Sony did. Hopefully they can get everything sorted out with used games, and it'll be a resolution where we all win.
Smaller than the original PS3, which is what I have, so it's not too bad. Seems like the dimensions are smaller than what it looked at the reveal. Cant wait to buy one and hook that bad boy up!
Which is why they should clarify, I think they've dropped the ball with information and are generally coming off as confused. I don't see how they could have a fee, while others don't.
I'm pretty confused as to what's going on, but I'm looking forward to seeing what is legit and what isn't.
