Forza 5 and Quantum Break are exclusives, they didn't show a ton of games, but they declared that earlier in the week.
Microsoft-"We plan to show the hardware, we'll save tons of exclusive game announcements for E3"
After the Xbox One reveal- "What!? How dare they not show games that they stated earlier they wouldn't show?"
They did however state that 15 exclusives would be shown off at E3, 8 new IP's and ...
Are you serious? 8 core, 8 gigs of RAM, it's obvious the next Xbox is a powerful machine.
Worst conference ever will always be E3 2005.
Didn't Microsoft say 15 exclusives in the first year? 8 of which are completely new IP?
You are right on the multiplat thing though, the Xbox One will in the end, play 90% of the same games as the PS4.
@HammadTheBeast
They said 15 exclusives, know what that word means? Of the 15 exclusives, 8 are first party games, which debunks what you were saying.
Well we don't know what the PS4 looks like, we don't have an accurate price or release date on either. We have no complete launch lineup or specific details really.
I was impressed with the 300k online serviers for Xbox Live though, and dig the controller on the Xbox One, but the PS4 controller looked good too, so I guess I'll have to say I need to wait and see some more games and details.
Think of it this way, not everyone shares your opinion, there could be a ton of people who want to go buy the Xbox One when it releases, I'm one of them.
There are more gamer's in the world than the ones who come to sites or even watched the live stream. If you watched the late night news, all you saw was "Big news as Microsoft announces next Xbox". A lot of people will see that, and a lot of people will want one.
So I wouldn't consider ...
Just so you know, Sony's stock dropped and Nintendo's and Microsoft's jumped after the PS4 reveal.

I knew there wouldn't be a ton of games, and I still haven't gotten an answer as to when a better time would have been to announce the non gaming features for the Xbox One?
Everyone is complaining about it, but nobody has a bett...
You do realize that Microsoft has 20 first party studios right? You're probably also aware that the majority of their studios haven't done much in around 3 years or so, which means they were working on new games for Xbox One.
Microsoft already said they have 8 new IP's, and 15 new exclusives. 8 of these games are first party titles, I don't think any of them will be download titles, and they stated Black Tusk's big AAA game will be at E3, we have Remedy...
Definitely not a perfect console reveal, might have been better off just having a press release on paper to answer these types of questions.
Scenarios just means they want to get feedback to see if they should implement it. I believe they have their answer by now, they should have been crystal clear from the beginning on used games and always online. I think the always online thing cleared up nicely, but the used game fee BS seems to have spun out of control due to negligent...
Hey another civil person on N4G today, nice to talk to you.
Not sure why so many people disagree with my own personal opinion, but as I said, it wasn't perfect, but I have reason to be optimistic. Hopefully Microsoft understands the criticism and it makes for a much better E3. Hearing that Rare will bring back an iconic franchise at E3 has me happy.
I forgot how great that launch lineup was, here's hoping we get an amazing lineup for Xbox One as well!
Glad they changed the D-pad, and also added an internal battery!
Past BS? I bought Kameo, Perfect Dark Zero, Banjo Kazooie Nuts & Bolts, Viva Pinata 1 and 2 and Kinect Sports, I enjoyed all of these games very much, I also bought the HD versions of Banjo 1 and 2 off XBL, so I think I might have enjoyed those games more than a lot of others that came out.
Anyway, I guess we will see at E3, I'm stoked though!
I'm an Xbox fan and I'm not disappointed, I think that might be lost on some people here. I was showing some of my friends the reveal and they were loving it. So I think it's all relative in the end.
Not sure there is a way to please everyone, I'm curious as to when would have been a good time to reveal these other features in the eyes of N4G? Never? E3 so they can complain that Microsoft's E3 sucked?
Looks great, need to get more of these positive stories out here, there might have been some negatives, but there were quite a few positives in my opinion, and Microsoft has plenty of time to clarify and impress come E3.
Wait, wait, so Microsoft are the ones forcing digital and cloud gaming, what is Sony trying to do with Gaikai? I mean you don't honestly think Sony isn't trying to do what you are claiming the Xbox One will do?
To the best of my knowledge Microsoft hasn't tried to release a gaming device with digital only (PSPGO).
Exactly! I mean if you can just use the USB 3.0 and use any HDD, who cares? bubbles for being helpful!
It looks like a high end gaming PC rig, I liked the look. There have been some ugly consoles released, but this isn't one of them. Glad they had the guts to show their console.
INB4 trolls talk about how Rare is dead or how it'll be a Kinect game.
Winning E3 is subjecting, there isn't really a way to win a showcase since we all have varied tastes and opinions. What they need to do is show off those 15 new exclusives, and 8 new IP's.
They need to get their stories straight, and clear the air completely. People will buy it no matter what, thinking otherwise is kind of foolish, but if they want to get those initial tech gamer's, they'll need to prove to them that they have a lot of compelling games.
