The way gamers act now days kind of sickens me, if you were around in the 80's and gamed, you'll know Nintendo was always about fun and the actual gameplay. If the only thing you care about is power, go play something else, Nintendo puts out some of the best games of all time and that is FACT.
The most powerful console has never won a generation, you look back at some of the more powerful consoles and that didn't help them in the end. Games need more than good gra...
I hate how people are so callous about so many people losing their jobs, jobs in an industry they supposedly care about. What you might not understand is that those brick and mortar stores help keep physical gaming media alive, they are specialty stores.
Where else can you buy used games? get deals like B2G1F? Or do a midnight launch? It isn't just Gamestops closing, it's part of the industry closing.
This is looking pretty sweet! Love how Microsoft has used XBLA to get people retail quality games for a fraction of the cost.
I agree, and it is easy to site there and bring up some past comments that Nintendo made, mostly about online gaming, but the fact is that Nintendo is right more than wrong. If we go on past comments then "next generation doesn't start until Stony says so", which is just insane. Every company says things at time that make no sense.
Saying cloud gaming isn't the future makes sense to me, a life long console gamer who will not be a gamer anymore IF gaming ever...
I have to disagree, crashes of any kind are never a good thing. Activision was the first studio to break off from Atari and decide to make third party games for themselves, mainly because they weren't getting paid squat while working at Atari.
I love a lot of Activision, EA, Ubisoft and Microsoft made games. You are basically saying Sony is all you need, I think 76+ million 360 owners might disagree, and probably 100+ million Wii owners as well.
Gaming i...
You have to take the good with the bad, the sad fact of the matter is that there are actually people who want video games to fade and go away. Obviously the gaming landscape has changed a lot over the last six or seven years, so the golden age of gaming might very well have passed, at least for console domination, but that doesn't mean consoles are dead or that any of the big three are in trouble.
I fully expect doom articles for the PS4 and Xbox 720, the fact is that th...
It's probably because there isn't enough incentive for Capcom to warrant the time and money to put it on the Vita. It's not like the Vita is in 20+ million homes, probably more trouble then it's worth right now.
I don't think it's the future, but it will undoubtedly draw in a certain group of gamers, I think every console needs a hook and motion control was last generations hook, I think it's quite obvious that this virtual reality hook is back in spades. Could be entertaining as an option, just like most "hooks".
Loved the first Luigi's Mansion, I happen to be a huge Luigi fan because I think he gets disrespected quite a bit, I wish they would do a console version of the game though.
I think a new HD Zelda, HD 3D Mario, Smash Bro's and Mario Kart isn't getting over shadowed by much of anything. It just means that E3 will be chock full of awesome instead of boring like the past couple of E3's.
I'll keep an eye out for it, but with Gears Judgment, God Of War, The Last Of Us, GTA5, Tomb Raider, Bioshock, Aliens, Pikmen 3 and more, I kind of doubt I'd get it day one or anything, probably when the price drops. I still have my Collectors Edition for the first Prey game on Xbox 360.
Same as always, each console maker will release a handful of superstar AAA titles, your Mario's, Zelda's, Uncharted, Gran Turismo, Halo, Gears Of War's of the world. Then there will be the middle of the pack exclusives and then the niche titles that go largely unnoticed and unbought.
Probably see even more timed DLC because both Sony and Microsoft will want to get people to buy 3rd party games on their console, if the Call Of Duty maps and things like the Skyrim ...
Cant wait!
You don't think Nintendo pushes Sony or Microsoft? While you might think the Wii was a gimmick, it managed to win the generation pretty easily. Microsoft and Sony followed suit pretty quick in order to capture some of that market.
Also, did you see what Sony released lately? PlayStation All Stars? LittleBigPlanet Karting? If you think Sony doesn't pay attention to Nintendo, you are wearing some blinders for sure.
Every company tries to follow the lea...
The thing failed because it didn't work, but if you had one you were a badass.
How is $399 a pipe dream and then you say $400 which is the same thing? They wouldn't release a console for exactly $400, it would be $399.
I actually think they will release a $399 and a $499 SKU. Anything higher and they wouldn't have learned the lesson from this generation and I'd be waiting to buy one until there was a price drop.
I also expect a Vita price drop to be announced on Feb 20th, I stated all along the price point was too expensiv...
Plain and simple, YOU ARE A FOOL if you wish failure on any of the big three console makers. You are ignorant and don't understand business and how there needs to be competition to push each other. Just look at Madden, WWE and a host of other things that have absolutely no competition.
They form a symbiont circle with one another and what happens to one will have an affect on the others. I just hope those people predicting doom on Nintendo remember those numbers when the...
This is strictly my opinion but...
1.Avoid high price, stick to $399 or lower
2.Allow used games to be played on the console
3.Allow full physical backwards compatibility
4.Decent launch lineup
5.Easy to develop for so they don't get crappy ports
This is only my opinion, some of those happen to be deal breakers for me.
Usually if there is a puzzle or something like that in a game and I have tried for hours I'll check a Youtube walkthrough. Cool thing about the Wii U is that you can bring up walkthroughs on the Gamepad while you are playing.
You don't have an Xbox, never have. You messaged me your supposed Gamertag remember? I checked and it didn't exist.
You bash on Microsoft every chance you get, so stop acting as if you've ever even given it a try.
I think by now we all get it, your nose is firmly planted up Sony's rear. You are just making yourself look foolish now.
