Uh so frustrating they are pushing this game so hard right now, but waiting until May to release it.
@tombfan
So you mean they are adding a mode that allows for a higher framerate? Because it can't convert a game to 60 unless that mode is added.
Unfortunately that only happens if there is an unlocked framerate mode. If the game is capped at 30, all ps5 will do is make it a more stable 30.
Lol where's the "What does the game even do that hasn't been done already? It looks boring" crew today? I need to be told how I should really be looking forward to a budget turn-based JRPG instead.
So X/S already outsold Xbox One lifetime in Japan?
Lol both have awesome SSDs. How are we leaving that out?
It's so crazy to remember that the 360 launched without HDMI. I'll never forget seeing how trash games looked when people who didn't understand had their console hooked up to an HDTV with composite cables.
Yes, but what is obvious to us really isn't to a large swath of people who buy consoles. I mean, I love PlayStation, but part of that is expecting dumb things like this to happen in new and creative ways and being ready for them. Most people just expect $500 machines to work in a logical fashion.
Yeah. There should be some sort of extra question that pops up if you are about to download the old version of a game when you also own an upgraded version. I appreciate that they allow you to download the old version, but it should have to be a conscious effort that requires several steps, so that it can only happen on purpose.
People on here are going to blast this, because we all understand enough about PlayStation to double check this kind of thing. But I'm sure there are thousands of casuals playing Ps4 versions of COD and Miles Morales on their PS5s, completely unaware of any of this.
Wait, these consoles are basically the same except for small, game-by-game differences? Who could have foreseen this?
Not at all. Perfect for immersion. Definitely the biggest unexpected difference.
After being skeptical about how much of a difference it could make, I have to admit that it is really cool. I do think a lot of people will turn the triggers off for multiplayer shooters though.

Time will tell. But it feels to me like the kind of game that's more appropriate to have to lose progress and start over each time (rogue like, I guess). The thing that frustrates me with the Souls game is that it puts those mechanics in a slower-paced RPG. If I'm going to be dying and starting over, I want it to be quick and clean.
Really disappointed not to have this at launch, but looking forward to it when it does come out.
Nice. While I know Boost mode will make both TLOU II and Ghost better, I'd like to see both get dedicated PS5 versions. That was really big for the sales of the first TLOU.
Hmm I'm guessing if Last of Us Part II had cracked 10 million, we would have heard about that as well. Based on its launch sales and continued charting, I'm guessing it has to be close.
Not cross gen, but they released God of War 2 on PS2 after PS3's launch, and they released Gran Turismo 6 on PS3 after PS4's launch.
