Yep. Every video that is supposed to convince me of how great ray tracing is actually ends up demonstrating you are better off without it so you can have a higher framerate.
I always wonder how many "death threats" we hear about are someone tweeting something like "oh, if they delay the game again, I'm going to burn the studio down." Which may not be a great thing to say, but it's about as serious as telling one of your friends you are going to kill him if he doesn't stop doing something that's getting on your nerves; that is, clearly not a serious thing, just hyperbole. Like if you are carrying something heavy and you say &quo...
I loved that I was playing the game almost instantly on starting it up. It's so frustrating to have to go through unnecessary cutscenes and tutorials for 25 minutes before actually playing the game.
I think the problem is that, without an update, Bloodborne is specifically locked at 30 fps. Without a patch unlocking the framerate, Boost mode on PS5 can't force the game to run at 60 fps.
I always wonder when I see these stories: are these threats tweets posting devs addresses and saying specifically "I'm coming to kill you," or is it more "if game X gets delayed again, I'll want to kill a man." Because, while neither may be admirable, the first one should be taken a lot more seriously.
I have to say, cautiously optimistic as I was, I was not expecting this much praise for Dualsense. I'm pretty excited to try it out now. Hopefully serious support for its features doesn't fizzle out or become just a first party thing (as sometimes happens with new PlayStation features).
Actually on rereading it seems like they are just mentioning the next gen consoles as far as testing the current gen version of the game on those for backwards compatibility. They specifically say "compatibility" when referring to PS5 and Series X, which they don't say with any others, so it looks like those are still next year. It's a shame, because them being able to launch those versions simultaneously rather than waiting until next year is one of the things that actually...
Actually this post seems to suggest that they might. It's not totally clear.
Feels like insurance against twitter trolls to me. Because if they say it plays at 60 fps locked, even if that's true 99.99 percent of the time, some nub will record it dropping slightly once, then make a big deal about it.
If it has an unlocked framerate, it should.
I don't like the "up to 60 fps" language either, but I get the impression it is them covering themselves so that no one can take footage of it dropping to 57 in one very specific instance and then do the whole "Sony lied" thing online. Remember the idiotic, "only 100 games will be backward compatible" nonsense, and how long it took for that to die?
@Applejack
I forgot to mention that my opinions are always right.
It honestly makes no sense to watch someone play games instead of just playing them yourself.
There's a difference in copyright law between paying for something for personal private use and paying for it for public exhibition. For instance, if you pay to download a song, that doesn't give you the right to play it at a public event (although people frequently violate this).
However, I think most game publishers probably realize they are getting a lot of free exposure from streamers, so they aren't going to enforce their rights, even if they could.
I think the problem is that the IP holders have let it go for so long, that it would seem like an arbitrary action out of nowhere if they started enforcing their copyrights in this manner now. If they were going to shut down streamers, they should have done it a lot sooner.
Lol that's why Netflix added the ability to download, right?
Shocker that the people who feel the need to constantly insert themselves into discussions that don't concern them and refer to themselves as a Master Race also feel the need to cheat against the people using less effective control methods.
Yep. I'll take any sacrifice in detail to make this a reality.
Yes, but consoles finally have decent CPUs, as opposed to last gen.
I didn't actually believe it would, I'm just going to criticize it anyway. Also, the CPUs aren't trash this time around, so if there was going to be a gen where 60 could become the norm, this is it.
Yep. Especially 3. "It's PlayStation's attempt at Halo" is such a shallow take.
