The amount of times I have gotten killed because Dogmeat is in the way! But then I also use the command menu to get him to go into a room where there are raiders and inevitably he kills one while getting shot by another and gives me the chance enter the room and start firing without getting shot at all. I'd rather have him then not!
Perhaps there are also issues particular to your PC that are causing the crashes? Many of us have been also playing the game on PC and there have been some glitches but no outright crash like yours. Maybe the game has some issues with particular drivers for your graphics card(s).

Naughty Dog have little to prove. They had 4 games on the PS3, each better than the previous one (Okay, Okay, even I agree that UC2 was better than UC3 but this is subjective and the graphics were definitely better on the third one, alright?). Why should it bother anyone whether Uncharted 4 is the last game or not? And what is wrong with taking cues from old Hollywood adventure movies (and serials)? Uncharted has always had the Indiana Jones comedic vibe to it and is loved by millions for this very reason. If you like the "poignant story beats" that Tomb Raider has, so be it but does every adventure game have to become like another? No matter what the facts are, Xbone fanboys will disagree and move the goalposts and benchmarks to suit their version of events. This gen resolution no longer matters, sales numbers are not important and multiplats that favour the PS4 are no longer popular. Kinect was necessary, Titanfall was the killer game and the cloud was crack. Nothing worked and PS4 was still selling more. Soon Kinect was not necessary, Tomb Raider became important to Microsoft and backwards compatibility was a game...
No one suggested that the Xbox is finished. Even people like me who favour the PS4 see the necessity of having two or three major consoles in a market as competition makes the industry better.
People should enjoy whatever console they prefer without having to denigrate the competition. In my opinion, Xbox fanboys and the likes of Adam Greenberg appear not to be able to accept the position the PS4 now has.

Frankly if PS4 gamers have to wait a year to play the game, they might as well wait an additional six months after it is released and get the game very cheap. It would not make any difference as by the time the game has been released, even though it is new to the PS4, it is an old game in terms of when it was first released.
