Not including Bloodborne is silly. One of the best and most satisfying games this year.
Can we just wait and see what the game turn out like before making claims about selling millions or not selling millions?
@XiKurapikaKurta
Well said. The writer of the article is obviously not happy that Kojima has signed a deal to make an exclusive for the PS4. It is obvious that Kojima would feel more comfortable with a company that he has had a long association with and if there is substantial financing of the game by Sony, this was probably another good reason for exclusivity.
Given how Sony allow even their first party studios an amount of freedom that one would simply n...
@moldybread
Surely the issue here is this group that wants to disrupt the networks for their own nefarious reason. They are the ones you should be angry at.
@Herbalistic
It was intially supposed to be released on PC about 4 to 6 months after the release on Xbone. Clearly sales have been poor by most standards and going by the lofty expectations SE themselves had of the first release in this rebooted franchise, they have decided to bring forward the release date for PC and try and salvage some sales while the game is still fairly new.
Of course, SE and Crystal Dynamics could just apologize to Playstation gamers f...
@bigodon1 - I think Herbalistic is correct in his assessment of how the game has sold. This entire situation was an example of why a multiplatform game should not be allowed to be made into an exclusive, timed or otherwise.
When Microsoft thought 'Uncharted 4' was being released this holiday season, Phil Spencer was spouting words about how Microsoft wanted to support the game and make it even better, etc. etc. but as soon as 'Uncharted 4' was delayed to 2016...
I think too many negative assumptions are being made by many FF7 fans.
For all we know, SE may have decided to include a lot of content that was previously omitted and in order to get the game out quickly divide the game into parts, each one representing a full game experience. The fact that they are not using the in-house engine but Unreal 4.0 is an indication that they are trying to get the remake, at least the first part, out as soon as possible.
I would ...
@Lightening Mr Bubbles
Well put. I see no reason why we cannot accept them at their word. They have an opportunity to create something really majestic and fun as well as add content that was probably left out of the original due to the limitations of the time.
The gameplay shown on Saturday, the little there was, looked good and certainly the way the game looks even at this early stage clearly indicates that Final Fantasy 7 Remake is being done in the best ...
I agree with you that SFV should be available to Xbox gamers. Even though the circumstances of the Sony exclusivity are different from the 'Tomb Raider' fiasco, I think that multiplatform games should stay multiplatform and I have no desire to support Sony on this even though I am predominantly a PS4 gamer.
@Picnic
I am one of those who has purchased Tomb Raider on Playstation from 1996 onwards. The franchise has ALWAYS been a multiplatform one with availability on Sega Saturn, PC, Playstation and from just nine years ago, the Xbox. It is Playstation gamers who supported the franchise the most,even with the latest reboot in 2013.
This is a franchise that SHOULD NEVER have been made exclusive to any one console,not after having been multiplatform for so long. ...
@spartan112g
"coming from someone who has played every Uncharted game, makes Uncharted feel like a steaming pile of crap" shows that you have never played Uncharted and are merely trolling.
@Spotie
I take your point and given human nature, what you say is valid but there has to be a start somewhere. You will always have a situation where some people will never be satisfied no matter how many new and diverse characters there are and others will never agree to there being more than the isolated ONE!
If you read my comments I made sure that I used the word 'justifiably' so shoehorning does not come into it. But the truth is that until the...
@Spotie
It is nothing to do with "they don't look like me". The fact is that the gaming industry sells across the world and there is no reason why devs cannot come up with projects, ideas and games that can justifiably have a main character that is Black, Asian or Hispanic.
How much is enough? Considering how many games come out each year, certainly more than one or two.
If you have chosen not to worry about such things, t...
@DJustinUNCHAIND
It takes one to know one.
@Septic
I think U_R_weirdos is entitled to his opinion and it is valid. What happened with ROTR, a multiplatform game, should be discouraged. The money exchanged had little to do with the betterment of the game and more to denying it to one console just so the Microsoft could get an 'exclusive', albeit timed, without taking a risk.
True gamers want a situation where as many people who want to play the game should be able to play the game. If anyon...
I think you are overestimating the response ROTR will get when it is finally released on the PS4. It will be, again, released within a glut of major games during the holiday season The point is that the game is already a year old and PS4 gamers have had to wait a year, they might as well wait a little longer and get it at a bargain price in 2017 - at a price more in keeping with an 'old' game.
Even now, the devs cannot come to terms with the fact that the majority of...
If anything we are reminded that there are not enough main game characters that are Black or Asian.
Yes, agreed with much of what you say but do remember that corporations are run by humans and it is not unreasonable for us as gamers and consumers to expect these humans to have some morality and a bit of decency.
No one faults the right of EA to make money, that is what a business is set up to do. However, many corporations actually combine a hard-edged business ethos with consumer focus and deliver a product which may be expensive but still delivers on all fronts. With...
@Weasel
Isn't that quote hilarious? Especially when you consider they:
- denied it to the best selling console for a year.
- alienated the goodwill of the largest userbase (PS and PC) who have supported the franchise for nineteen years.
- released the game on the same day as Fallout 4.

"I will riot and eat limbs. LIMBS. Not mine. Yours. So buy it."
er.. going a bit too far, don't you think? But okay, I will buy Persona 5.
