Great to see Kojima-san being welcomed to the Sony family in style. As much as he is getting a tour of the Sony first party studios and all their tech, they get to meet him up close and exchange ideas.
Ouch! So much for the "Greatest lineup of games" for Xbox, few were buying into it.
Over the next few months the deluge of games from Sony and her first and second party studios will ensure an even bigger gap and who knows what effect a successful release of PSVR will have on the sales of the PS4. Sony have made very few missteps since announcing the PS4 in February 2013 and are reaping the benefits.
4 games for an IP (not counting the two games for the handhelds)is not bad going, especially given the games have been very successful and Nathan Drake is the chareacter most associated by gamers with Playstation, to the extent that many have bought a PS4 just to experience 'Uncharted 4'.
I think Druckmann and Co have the right attitude with the IP in that Naughty Dog has to move on at some point so why not after a triumphant return (the last game was nearly 5 years a...
Who knows whether this game will be worth it or a disappointment? Articles like these serve no other purpose other than to give those who may have console brand loyalty an opportunity to come up with all kinds of reasons why a game, that has not even been released and for which there has only been a small and specific amount of content shown so far, may succeed or fail.
I would rather wait until the game is actually released and see what it has to offer before making my mind...

Not salty but angry that a multiplatform title supported by Playstation gamers was withheld from them, the largest fan group. You cannot support a game that is deliberately withheld from you for a year for reasons of greed or marketing.
Okay, reasonable assumptions by the author of the article and she is probably right - we just don't know at this moment and until Sony announce the price, articles like this are just conjecture. I suggest we all just show some patience and wait for the price before we start hollering.
It does appear that the Aussies are getting shafted what with the huge shipping charges and paying tax twice. The answer - vote with your wallet. Don't buy the Rift if you feel what you are paying is unreasonable. The prices are bound to go down at some point so it may only be a matter of waiting for a few months after the initial release.
Oculus are not doing to well with PR at present and are beginning to lose the goodwill many of us had for it. They need to remembe...

Right, so we should disregard the success of PS1, PS2 and even PS3, the successful adoption of blu-ray as the standard hi-def disc format, some of the best HD and now UHD TV sets, years of success in the 80's and 90's with the cassette, and then CD and mini-disc Walkmans and several audio technologies that pushed the boundaries and have helped the industry to get to where we are now. Every company has successes and failures but Sony has been far more in...

This is only your opinion, you have no facts on which to base what you are saying as you are definitely wrong about the "on rails" statement. This can be confirmed by the list of confirmed games coming to PSVR.

"dead in the water" - only in your opinion, mate. i have tried the PSVR last year and even then it was an experience I would have been willing to pay for to buy the kit there and then.
Not even half...Microsoft refuse to release actual figures and I suspect things are much worse than they would have us believe.
If Sony comes in at the $499 mark allowing them to release a quality product, most people looking to get into VR will opt for the PSVR. By the time it releases there will be close to 40 million PS4s out there and even if only 5% buy the first release, you are looking at 2m units out of the gate! This will certainly help Sony consolidate their VR involvement and allow them to focus on delivering an even better second generation experience with technologies like 'Foveated Rendering'....
You seem angry about something that Sony never promised. CES is focused on consumer electronics not Playstation products. You probably listened to the hype by various sites over the last few days that there might be an announcement about the PSVR and convinced yourself that there will be news.
Sony is not in the wrong here, you are.

Zindagi happy hey PS4 ke saath.
@Hoffman.
In your dreams, mate. Will never happen unless Sony develop incompetence on a scale Microsoft has shown between 2013 to the present.
Good for you but for many, and probably most, of us the reverse is true - thankful for the PS4, tired of Xbone overhype and PR bullshit with moving goalposts and even outright lies. If you like the Xbone, enjoy it without trying to denigrate the rival. For us PS4 lovers, 2016 will be even better than the last two years.
Merceron has just confirmed what we all already knew. Konami have behaved in an abysmal manner. It was likely that Kojima-san wanted to delay the game in order to complete it in the way he felt it ought to be. In any case, Konami have only hurt themselves. Metal Gear Solid and Kojima-san will be forever linked and no matter how good any MGS game made by another creative head may be, it will always be "imagine what Kojima-san would have done".
I also doubt the ...
@trenso1
Is 'Recore' releasing next spring? I thought it was much later as there has been no footage or any marketing.
@Stormsailor
I agree, I think even Sony are surprised how poorly Xbone is doing but they have also managed to counter the "biggest lineup in Xbox history" and managed to outsell the rival despite that lineup.
However, Sony is also reaping the benefit of having the reputation of releasing stellar exclusives and many people have opted for the PS4 because they know the games will arrive. That time has come as just in the first 4 months of 2016 there a...
We learnt that Sony values Kojima-san in a way that Konami never did and view Kojima-san's involvment with Sony as a two way street where each inspires the other to greater heights.
This trip was as much about telling the world that Kojima-san is working with the cream of Sony Computer Entertainment as it was to show off the brilliant man to the various teams as well as (try and) impress the man with what Sony has to offer.
I would not be surprised if the...
