The graphics are good, I like the weapon setup better than GTA, but what will make or break this game is the storyline. GTA has always had fun storylines with interesting characters. If it's thin on story and I'm just supposed to run around and play the little missions, I'm out.

I like Peter Moore, he's got the right idea as to how things should move forward in the industry. And in general I agree with his list, but MS certainly needs to work on #6 by offering a wider spectrum of games. There is very little available for younger audiences on the 360. MS needs to realize that it's the younger audiences that drive future sales of consoles.

we can spell.

It'll come down to the price of the PS3, and the games of the PS3. At this point both are lacking from my point of view. I like owning multiple consoles, but I'm not opening the wallet for the PS3.

This whole console wars business is silly. MS will sell 10 million by end of '06, 15 million by June '07. That's already a success. Will Sony and Nintendo sell? Deliver a great product, great games, and yes, you'll sell.

There is room for more than one console in this industry. Sony is getting the big question mark because the price is high, and the competition is priced considerably cheaper.

He's not listing one game, he listed a number of games. Regardless of which system you think is the best, you have to agree that the Wii and the PS3 will not be available in stores. They will sell out, there will be shortages.

The 360 will not have this problem and will have the benefit of being able to provide a great gaming experience over the holidays.

I mean, hate the console if you must, but you've got to admit MS is in a very nice position.

Will still be able to go to stores and download/copy it there.

I like to think of the savings in packaging and waste. Think of all that plastic, boxes, all that crap not being needed at all...and if you don't need to package, costs will come down.

Harrison says production is in full swing, from a developers point of view. A developer means software, not hardware.

And yes, there has been talk of Asustek starting up production in Taiwan, but that talk was squashed, not confirmed, by Asustek or Sony.

How is it that Nintendo and Microsoft would be implicated...but not Sony? Especially when all three deal/dealt with Immersion?

And here's what I see...

Gamer walks in to store, clutching money to buy a ps3.

"Sorry, we only had three...come back in March".

Choking back rage, after having waited for so long, gamer glances over and sees GOW in action. Looks at money in hand and realizes he could buy 360 premium, GOW, and still go home with money in pocket.

That's a good, well thought out read. For the PS3, I think the difference will come down to the quality of the games. If people look at the Wii or 360 games and determine the PS3 games aren't significantly better looking, they won't pay the higher price....unless they were going to buy a blu-ray player already.

That was tasteless.

You can use these for renewals, right? I'm tempted to buy one for when my Live account comes due in November.

Some people say they're waiting for the PS3 because it will have superior graphics. That's like people waiting for a car that gets 100 mpg. Yes, the car will eventually be made, but until that time, no car for you.

So yes, maybe the PS3 will have superior graphics. But until such time, you are without a game console. And you're missing out on some great stuff. And your graphics might not end up being superior anyway. Who's to say?

All I know is I love my 3...

I wasn't being sarcastic here, by the way. When Microsoft says they're in Japan for the long haul, that means they're willing to support it until it's successful. And their sales have improved. Better games will release, and consoles will sell.

You guys that are pissed off about this story are misguided. I would rather people post their opinions and submit them as an article than going off-topic on the real news stories. This way people can argue and it's somewhat contained.

Xbox has come a long way from selling 20 units a week! Wait until they get Oblivion, Viva Pinata, and all the other great stuff!

Honestly, it was too much information coming at you all at once. Too many unfinished games and producs being displayed, too many instances of cgi being labelled as gameplay because developers had to show something.

I'd rather the companies release news on their timetable, and not on E3's schedule.

I had no idea load times were so long for both types of players. What's the reason for that?

Competition always brings about change, and change is good. But Sony is trying to do too much, implementing Blu-Ray to bolster their other divisions could come back to shoot them in the foot.

Entitlements? That doesn't even make sense.
