And I'm not a fan of either of these series, but I would hate to see a game rushed out to market. PDZ was obviously rushed out, and it suffered as a result.
It's nonsensical anyway...with the limited supplies the console will sell out over the holidays no matter what games you offer.
Well, if you want the Japanese to buy the console you might want to give them the good games.

Listen, I find your posts to be interesting. I also tend to agree with you. But the problem I have is that your posts aren't relevant to the topic. And that makes it difficult to get a discussion going about the topic.
You're a smart guy, you might consider submitting your own news stories doing comparisons of the two consoles. Or games sales comparisons...but what I'm trying to suggest is you might want to actually start your own news stories, rather than go off on tangent...

I think some people here are under a misconception. They're thinking people are attacking Sony because they're Sony. Not entirely true, what I'm disgusted with here is the total lack of information.
IBM say yields are on or above targets...but doesn't state what those targets are, or how many they've successfully produced. How much is this really costing Sony? There's no info other than what Sony is allowing to be released, and that ain't much.

What's interesting about this is that with MS's financial reports, cost of research and development were specified. According to the Gamespot article addressing this same information, "The company did not give specific financial figures for R&D costs for the PS3, which will ship worldwide in mid-November."

That ps3 games will be superior to 360 launch games. That's what I'm getting out of this. The devs have had a lot more time, so the games should be considerably better, right?

It's not news to us. Companies lose money on consoles. With the Xbox, that loss never turned the corner. With the 360, it will be a different story.
I'm much more curious about the loss Sony will be taking with each PS3.

The article talks about different versions of the dev kits, so I'm understanding that the 10,000 kits are not the final dev kits. I don't know how many final dev kits have been sent out...or even if that makes a difference. I would think it does, but I'm no programmer.
