The media and their propaganda have successfully indoctrinated into believing that transferring a file from one computer to another over a network equates to robbery at sea.
Whats even more amusing is that a lot of the illegal downloading also happens from servers, aka the cloud.
Cloud pirates... smh what a joke
And PC owns 55% of gaming market share. 360 PS3 PS4 XBO WiiU hold the other 45% LMAO
"who said its not going to make a difference on consoles"
Hmmm funny you call him delusional:
John Habel (Ex-ND) - newer APIs will make the CPU faster, but will probably not have much effect on the GPU.
Balazs Torok (CDPR) - DX12 won't fix the 1080p issue... we will see a change in the way graphics programmers will think about their pipelines and this will result in much better systems hopefully.
Phil Spencer - ...
That makes no sense whatsoever, the 780ti is a 4 Teraflops card, which is almost 3x as powerful as the current consoles. So that card will run any multiplatform game nearly 3x better for the duration of this console cycle without upgrading once.
People only upgrade every few years because they want the best. That's doesn't mean they have to.
"I find 60 looks too unnatural, and I prefer a more "cinematic" feeling to my games."
Yea sure play a game at 60fps then lock it to 30 and come back and tell me your prefer the stuttering to smooth gameplay. It's a lie, or an uninformed opinion, either way you're very wrong.
Hell the 2x improvement in latency alone is worth it.
Try a game at 144fps and there will be no doubt whatsoever.
Seriously thinking of going AMD with their HBM Fiji GPU, I agree Nvidia have been playing some dirty tricks lately. I'll stick with Intel on the CPU side though :)
Same except Win8.1
Intergrated graphics on the CPU. Not great, but with DX12 we will be able stack it with our discrete GPU (currently you only use one or the other).
Never played this obvious street figher clone.
I had actual Double Dragon series on the C64, the one in which the movie was based off.
I don't proof read or spell check on sites like these. If you're going to be a grammar-nazi at least do it right, you missed:
- definitely
- optimisation
- every thing (emphasis should be on thing)
- UP
- I hear (I've read) that
- it's (should just be it)
- Got (should be I became fed up with)
- turning (should be tuning) followed by comma after settings
- so turned (so I turned)
...
I'm on a 770 and definitly seeing very strange 'optimistation'.
Everything set to medium, no AA, no hairworks, 1080p... average fps of 45fps.
Turn everything on ultra, with AA and hairworks, 1080p.... average fps 40-45.
Turn on Shadowplay, fps actually goes UP to 50fps average.
I hear if you turn foilage way down it's gives you a massive performance boost.
Got fed up turning settings so turned...
My GTX770 & i7-4790 cost £450. My XBO cost £429. I spent £600 on games over the past year on Xbox. I spent £100 on games over the past year on PC. I have many more games on PC.
My PC is vastly more powerful.
PC gaming is not more expensive than console gaming, end of story.
OT: 1080p is what my monitor can support so that's what it'll be.
I play games on phone, pc & console.. there's plenty of times one suits more than the other. Also, more than ever it makes sense to have a Xbox console and PC, considering Windows kernel unification is inbound in the next few months - with the Xbox ecosystem and announced features (things such as buy a game once for a license on multiple platforms) coming to PC free of charge.
OT: Impressive numbers only bested by Tetris, Wii Sports and Minecraft. Double the lifetim...
Yup and they've already told us...
http://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/...
MS provides the OS for almost a billion PC gamers, they also provide the API (DX) which the vast majority of titles require.
Microsoft literally invented PC gaming, Bill Gates even coded the first ever PC game.
Game distrubution ≠ pc gaming industry.
They also never abandoned the PC platform with Xbox, it was a DirectX 8 box with x86 architecture... Sony refused to work with MS, so they entered the console space.
They still u...
Halolens isn't even announced for Xbox. It's a standalone device which is going to primarily target the +1 Billion PC owners.
E3 will be all about Xbox games, with maybe some Windows 10 Xbox features.
An inconvenient truth it seems :)
.. and PC owns more than all 3 combined:

They know where you're downloading from, not what you are downloading. Also, a simple proxy bybasses that.
My thinking was a bit less punish the small poor guy and bit more cut out the big wealthy publishers... the similarity in both aforementioned cases is the direct distrubution of content from the creators themselves.
Yup it preforms about 9x faster than GDDR5. HBM is going to render GDDR5 obsolete, fast.
