Phil said in the post-media breifing they made a mistake putting 2 out after 8 months, this time it'll be done right. He also said the destruction you see in the trailer will happen in game.
It's a tall order (based on April's build showing), but if it works well I hope to see 3rd parties taking on the technology.
InFamous is there for DLC, why not add the DR3 DLC into the X1 list then? Since when did Little Big Planet become AAA? Where's Scalebound? Where's Dance Central?
'A couple more indies'.. What like: Aztez, Knight Squad, Plague Inc. Evolved, White Night, Earthlock, Cuphead, Hyper Light Drifter, Lifeless Planet, Slash Dash, Fru, Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime, Mighty No. 9, Grave, Woolfe, #IDARB, Hellraid, Below.
You make a category for OTHER ...
Yea leaks killed the event, we knew practically everything prior to today. Was fun to watch but nothing blew me away.
"Did anyone notice they didn't say cloud once during the conference?"
Yea noticed that, although Phil did confirm in the post media briefing that Crackdown IS cloud powered and the destruction shown in the trailer will happen in game.
I wish TLoU was on Xbox, just sayin' lol
I think it will the buildings destruction looked very similar to the build demo.
Internet logic, HL3 > All games ever made put together.. Semi-seriously though don't we need episode 3 before HL3.
I like fighting sports and watch some MMA but this game is horrible, I don't think MMA is particulary suited to games due to the vast array of techniques and body movements. It sucks hard when you on the ground moving analouge sticks around to get position.
Fight Night boxing is 100x better IMO, at least you can plan your fight and it doesn't feel like to plastic dummies hitting each other.
I agree with your sentiment, about trying to improve perception of power capability, they really can not win that war - it was lost once the hardware specs came out.
Anyone who is buying X1 without Kinect are losing functionality. Kinect makes navigation on the X1 a lot faster and easier, I mean A LOT.
"Xbox One resolution is higher because it doesn't use Kinect, says Microsoft"..
No they didn't, nor did the linked article. Could this be a click bait title? I suppose it doesn't sound as controversial as...
"Xbox One resolution is higher because allocated Kinect resources are now unlocked for developers, says Microsoft"
Misleading headlines aside, we all knew this was coming. Having used the extra 10% kinect features on multiplats such as BF4 I can safely say we're not losing anything. I would have much prefered that particular GPU power put into the game, really shouldn't have been locked off in the first place, let the devs decide.
@extermin8or - yea no argument there.
*edit* ^ That refers to your initial uneditied comment. The rest is just shocking. Cloud computation is real and will benefit games, nothing to do with secret sauce, it's also not exclusive to Xbox. They're promoting it however.
I get your annoyance, but you're misplacing it, had you understood what I wrote you'd get I'm waiting to see what exactly it can do (as of yet not much).
I...
Lame joke was always lame, PS+ Online Storage is a cloud service. I suppose you mean cloud processing, which is proven technically, so I suppose you're waiting to see it implemented in a Xbox game.. oops that's happened too, so I suppose you're waiting for it to be fully implemented where it gives substantial processing gains as originally claimed... me too, although that doesn't sound as witty!
Yes it wasn't, and no it didn't matter. I was, and still am, very bored going around the same tracks in the same cars with slight improvements in graphics/physics... Horizon felt totally new, I spent more time on it than any other since FM2 (and a lot more time than on FM5).
I was against moving towards arcade type gameplay, but they won me over, cool game which I hope they manage to repeat well.
While I fully expect it to happen, I'm cautious with how much they can achieve with it. The inital hype I had for always online, realtime MMO servers which update on the server end, giving us endless possibilities in vast environments seems all but a distant dream now.
Still, I try to remain optimistic. On a side note, gamingbolt sure played that interview well, over a month's worth of the most attention gabbing headlines.
Yea they sure won on DRM policies. Ironically, now as a result I'm stuck with paying full retail for digital games which I can never share or sell due solely on the reversal of these policies. Back to the good old days of breaking discs and disc drives.
They look amazing, especially the close up shot showing the rain drops on the paint work, acurate reflections and exterme detail. Stunning, although I highly doubt thats the graphics we'll see in the final product.
"Bill Gates has even hinted that Microsoft might sell off their Xbox division in the next couple of years in an interview with Fox Business".
Gates stated he'd support Nadella's descision if he chose to sell of the division, no hint at that being the case whatsoever, then Nadella has came out and said "I have no intent to do anything with Xbox other than what we’re doing today" (implying not spinning it out).
For an unbiased jour...
Yea mate that's fair enough. A valid concern although I still do not think, in hindsight, you would have used as strong a statement... and if I'd have read your article prior, I wouldn't have made the accusation.
No intention to disrespect your integrity with a knee-jerk reaction, grounded more in general annonyance. You're clearly not pushing advertising, with nothing showing at the landing screen, and I'll say your site is well developed, clean, and in...
This x infinity. R6 blew me away, it's the only game of all the briefings that did.
