Suprised nobody noticed this...
>3 x Titan SLI for 4k gaming

smh
Meanwhile on PC playing the same decade old games at 1080p/60fps.
While I'm not completely against remastering some titles (TLoU, GTAV, Halo etc...) this generation has been very underwhelming, for which this plays a part... I don't know whether it's an age thing or something more, but the last console generation seemed much more exciting almost 2 years in.
If anyone feels the same I suggest buying a PC for a true improvement in your gaming experi...
There's a reason consoles have to use auto-aim ;)
30fps significantly adds to input lag (your display won't help that on console).. so 1 to 1 reaction, as you put it, will be near perfect on 60fps PC.
Huge dead zone can be fixed with "control panel - mouse settings", tinkering with in game sensitivity and getting a gaming mouse with a high DPI (mines does 2000).
Smoothing/Acceleration is a setting which you'd expect can ...

PS4 HDD = 100MB/s
Intel SSD = 540MB/s
Factor in Intel i series (or AMD FX) CPUs and 2300MHz DDR3 (with added GPU GDDR5) and the difference is really quite massive.
Here's a tip.. I have 1-2 sec loading times on my PC,... 14seconds for sandbox games HAHAHA hell I could cold boot into windows in that time.
As few care... we've had 2 years of 1.3TF vs 1.8TF, it gets old.. the Xbox is weaker, end of story.
Remember next-gen consoles advertised as 1080p/60fps? It's laughable people throw 1080p around like some kind of achievement, it's still choppy and juddering at 30fps... Care about resolution and performance? Do yourself a favor and buy a decent PC.
OT: This is so damn old, the design for development units, the indivdual "QR code" is so i...
Damn that's a massive difference on the GPU I have, got an i74790 too so I'll expect big gains over DX11. Guna download this to benchmark my system on DX12.
Can't wait for full DX12 games to start releasing.
Good riddance. It's the format which works.. the show is successful with seperate hosts in other countries.
I used to watch Top Gear religiously, but Clarkson wore on me over time with his sense of entitlement and outrageous insults... he's not a nice human being if you actually understand his political views.. claims to speak for the working man against PC gone mad, yet is as part of the establishment as one can get.
Amazes me people think this guy ...
Ciporta the low power processor and dedicated RAM (2Gb=256MB) are for background tasks, it's not comparabile in any way to eSRAM.. which is used for games. This is why you don't hear about these components in game comparisions.
The 8GB GDDR5 is compared to 8GB DDR3 and 32MB eSRAM, had they not went for GDDR5 then the Xbox would have had much higher bandwidth capability to the GPU... This would have offest any GPU advantage in a big way.
But alas, PS4...
I recently bought Payday 2 complete edition on a Steam sale for £16 (usually £69.99), man this game is fun.. I play it every night.
Massive amount of content and fantastic replay value, definitely one of those games you look at and think meh.. then play it and get completely addicted.
Mbps is megabits. I download 5MBps so my connection is 50Mbps. That's not even exactly right but it'll do for illustrating the difference.
Also latency will be more important than downstream.. See input lag.
OT: Don't agree the consoles are still selling more than ever before, so to conclude that means the hardware units will go away you'd have to ignore reality
The truth of the matter...

Starting from $459, that's quite a bit off $2k...

Anyway they don't really represent good value IMO, someone would be much better buying the components and get significantly more power at the same price.
Slowly dying by earning more money, yea that makes complete sense...

To answer your question.. Basically it's single player with permadeath (you can play as most community members) where you build bases, scavange for resources, build your community (by saving others and bringing them back), build character abilities etc... There's a good bit to it.
It's defintely individual and a good game that everyone should at least try (it's on PC too), you'll have a lot of fun playing through fisrt time and I hear the DLC has great r...
Forgot to add, it needs to be considered that Xbox has dedicated hardware for this, 8GB of flash RAM (seperate from the 8GB DDR3) specifically for suspend/resume which allows instant resume from anywhere.
Factor that in and PS4 achieving 15secs (almost the same amount of time as Xbox from instant-on mode) makes it all the more impressive IMO.
It's instant, as in under 1 second, although sometimes it's crashed on GTAV (like loud buzzing noize and screen not moving) in that instance takes 3 - 4 seconds. Also, if you add boot time from instant on mode, it takes a further 5-10 seconds.
I think 15 seconds is still extremely good.
I get that a lot in new AAA games, like dying light or battlefield. Plug in a controller and it's buttery smooth, but mouse control stutters unbearably... really annoying.
OT: This update crashed and wouldn't install I think I'll leave it for a while.
So you're saying your personal experience of pre-selecting a setting for Steam to boot on startup and not putting your computer to sleep for 2 days means that any arbitary number of people do the same... well I don't so we're already down to 50%, different strokes for different folks.
Chinise don't use Steam in a big way so I don't know how that adds weight, it's just a larger userbase for which Steam doesn't serve.
My point about ...
It's 720p resolution on XboxOne, and no I'm not fine with 720 or 900, that's why I'll get it much cheaper and the much better version on PC at 1080p 60fps with ULTRA settings.
That 2k monitor is $1000 yet you can get a cheap 4k monitor for $400 (granted they're not ultrasharp - but 4k nonetheless).
Plus SLI GTX 980 is a much better choice.
Could outperform thier build significantly and at a much lower cost.
