You personally know of, and speak for, over 10million people (most = more than half)? WOW.

"EA access where u can pay above retail(even after subscription and discount)to play it a week early."

PS4 = £54.99
XBO = £54.99 -10% = £49.49

What you're trying to say if someone buys EA access SOLELY for BF Hardline they pay more jus...

@lodossrage - Are you really claiming any significant number of people bought gaming consoles for other purposes, that's preposterous, the vast majority buy to game on.

I'll not guess on numbers like you have, and just say 700million is actual esitmated number of PC gamers worldwide.

Xbox Live came 2 years before Steam.

You've also compeletely misunderstood PC gaming. Steam is the biggest client but it does not hold the majority ...

You'll should be able to get 1080p 60fps max settings. Can't be sure on how it performs with a higher resolution or framerate until the game is out. The 980 is over 2x better than the recommened card.

@Cindy-realla - "There are pcs about 20 times more powerful ... ps4 has the best looking game graphically available"

So this:

Looks better than these:

Funny that, I just downlaoded a game called Star Citizen at 20GB. They're talking about the finished game which by their targets is around 20% complete. If it does reach 100GB that'll be a tonnoe of added content.

It's overtook consoles, not 'catching up', because of this:

I agree there is plenty of credit in being locked down as you put it, as PC was not supported by big developers until Valve created a viable ecosystem for them to release their games.

At the end of the day Valve is respo...

So how do you explain this:

I wonder how the platform that gives more to the developers than the consoles combined is the 'cheapest audience', or could it be you're just regurgitating the same old false sterotype?

Cross-play will definitely require XBL dedicated servers. The social ecosystem is in the Xbox app already, smartglass also uses most of the xbox ecosystem. That only leaves apps, updates & premium features.. which isn't much comparatively, and nothing compared to the PC competition of Steam.

Personally I recently ended a 10yr active subscription, and intend to take full advantage of Xbox Live on PC.

@VforVideogmaes - What now? I have LIVE on my XBO, just not GOLD anymore so what I said remains true going by this statement:

"Xbox Live Gold will not be required for online multiplayer gaming using our service on Windows 10 PC"

That's fairly clear cut to me anyway.

Also LOL at the salty disagrees at pure fact.

Oh really, false stereotype much....

PC is where it's at, already taken over console, and well, you can see the trend for yourself.

OT: Good, I stopped my subscription so now I'll get my achievements moved over and get to play for free. Cross buying games will help their cause too. It'...

I've always prefered the ergonomically correct sticks on Xbox controllers, although dualshocks have never cramped my hands or anything.

Might pick up a DS4 for the PC seems like a really good controller, plus the touchpad would work really well on PC you'd think.

From news.xbox.com

"As shown with Fable Legends running on Unreal Engine 4, there has been a 20% improvement in performance. And as announced today, Epic is creating Unreal Tournament using Unreal Engine 4 running on DirectX 12, which sets a new bar for visual fidelity in PC gaming."

That quote you just pasta'd is from the interview the guys at TiC podcast did with Phil Spencer, you know the TiC podcast group that Lenrulesdaworld is part of... LMAO!! Still don't believe him?

OT: Same old, will help XBO but don't expect massive gains. On the other hand PC :)

I'll wait until I see real retail gameplay. @mikeslemonade - the Witcher, really? Expect that game to be great, CD Project Red are fantastic developers.

If you buy a game off steam you can still play it directly from the desktop (without logging onto the steam network).

In theory, you could just click the game and choose which multiplayer network to play on (XBL or Steam), I don't see them being linked as in logging into both networks simultaneously, but the aforementioned solution would work just fine.

"Idiots known nothing" - Says it all really.

You're worse than the people you think you're insulting. Most PC gamers play on consoles regularly.

Why laugh at DX12 (which gives my PC big gains and helps XBO) and cloud compute which, with Azure, could actually turn out amazing.

You're anti-gamer as far as I can tell.

PCs with Win10 can play all xbox games streamed from the console, streaming PC games to Xbox was not announced however when asked Phil Spencer stated it makes sense and is being looked into (there are other factors at play here such as full keyboard & mouse support).
