Yea very true, same CPU, same GPU technology, same x86 architecture. PS4 does have more raw power, coupled with the concrete API made it look like the XBO was much weaker. If we were comparing within PC benchmarks they would be considered to be at the same level.
Yea should do, and then count every single windows game when they allow PC to Xbox Streaming... sure the large lead with the PS4 'console exclusives' library on listwar are already on PC, fairs fair.
Cut out the middle man and buy a decent PC, there's 10s of thousands of games, literally.
Early access, hints in the name.
@mikeslemonade - they posted about this again yesterday, SLI is already working in-house using DX12, this will be released after windows 10... again early access.
So why not just use 2TB HDDs then instead of RAM, with a 2000GB threshold.
Joking aside, if you can move data in and out quicker, you can process more data in the same amount of time with less memory.
Um don't you realise the the 'only 4GB VRAM' is HBM which is vastly superior to GDDR5.
GDDR5 bandwidth = 28 GB/s
HBM bandwidth = 128-256 GB/s
It's 4-9x faster.
It'll be a few years before we see this large increase in bandwidth utilised efficiently, hence the comparable benchmarks.
You actually can't do this if your TV set-top is connected through the HDMI in on Xbox. When you stream it controls the Xbox, so whoever is watching the main TV screen sees what the streamer sees.
You have to disconnect the TV set-top from the Xbox and lose all the OneGuide and Kinect functionality on TV.
Leaves me wondering what's the point.
Well just tested it on multiple PCs, the streaming side worked fantastically. Wireless is a no-go, took 3 seconds to register a button press. Old dell PC (without HD graphic card) took the stream at 480p, looked decent. Both modern PCs took 1080p without any lag or noticeable input delay (using 1GBps ethernet).
Sounds great, right? Nope, it's absolute crap, I am shocked:
'Due to technical constraints, other users will not be able to use the Xbox On...
Chivalry seems to be the better medieval combat game, 70 real players, your sword has actual physics (gets caught on things and you could kill multiple foes/friends with one swipe).
Graphics are 10x better in For Honor, that's all I see in its favour tbh
Lower latency is a good thing.
Amazing game, a big step up from the first, already a winner in my mind. Few things about the early access is the lack of maps, only one boss and limited number of weapons.. but this is okay as new content is always incoming.
It's a 6 player co-op but on modded servers you can have up to 100players, man I can not describe just how awesome these servers are... one even has 12 maps already (main game only 4 maps to date).
One of the best early access purch...
That's funny I read 1/3 of sales, which is right bang up there with PS4 (presume it's the highest seller)... PC games sell much better over time, longetivity due to discounted sales and mods, this has been shown time and time again.
Look at the sales numbers 1 year in, PC will vastly outsell the next console down, the 'proof' you just posted just goes to show PC is catching up with consoles even in it's historically weak area... preorders and inital full r...
"The Xbox is in a bad position, as being the least profitable part of Microsoft."
LOL so that division has posted massive profits in the past 7 years running, Xbox has been out of the red for a long time.. but hey just keep thinking this is 2005 when it actually was billions in the red.
Also, FYI Bing is the least profitable part of Microsoft by a BIG margin. Publically available data, should you care to actually research your claims first.
I agree, the comment refers to the game having the exact same concept as Fallout 3. That's why he said watch any old Fallout 3 trailer... It's the exact same premise.
Nothing to do with the graphics shown off in the trailer, I suppose that link is only made due to the uproar about graphics (which in itself I find very odd considering everyone seems to moan about unrealistic 'in-engine' trailers).
"Could this be a sign that EA is testing the waters with PlayStation on this title? It would make sense considering the larger install base for PlayStation 4"
Meanwhile, yet again, ignoring the fact PC has 900million players and sells more copies nowadays...
http://bf4central.com/2014/...
Buy digital game on GOG (completely DRM free).
Put on hard drive.
There's your physical copy on a rewritable disc, which you are premitted to copy and back up as many times as you want.
Instead of renting a game on a non-replaceable disc, which when it breaks...
Then there's Steam, where the titles you buy you own forever, and can download on any computer should your house burn down or some such terrible event.
Doesn't sound as drastic when you state the actual numbers. 18 sales in 3 days, 13 of which were refunded. This is a $1.99 game. 72% drop in sales does sound much worse.
This is sensationalist attention grabbing when put it in context...
2015 so far has saw 50 million game sales with an average price of $12.35 and 5 hours played.
So in reality the overwhelming majority won't even be eligible for refund.

"Phil Spencer from EA now with Microsoft, is a good talker."
He's been with Microsoft since 1988, never worked for EA.
How can anyone take anything you have to say seriously when the first statement is false.
As far as what's he done for Xbox One is mostly image based and focusing the future on games first.
He also oversaw a 3billion takeover of Minecraft.
He and...
Yea there's a serious bottleneck somewhere.. Your rig should be epic settings at 1080/60. I've tried lowering res to all sorts, and it still makes no difference. My guess is a DX11 core ulitisation bottleneck, I've the i7-4790.
I played console only for a long period so the poor framerates at 25-30fps are bearable. Still annoying though as it's very unstable.
Frame rate is terrible atm, needs a lot of optimisation.. low settings 1080p averages around 25fps for me. Although the devs update daily, even giving out lists of what they hope to achieve that day, so it'll clearly be fixed soon.
Aside from that issue.. the game looks amazing on high settings, and the gameplay is awesome.
Went fishing underwater, killed fish with spear, sharks came and ate me and fish.
Went hunting, giant turtles gange...
"I know you PC guys are a little dense..."
LMAO yea free multiplayer, free mods, superior performance, cheaper games, a community who actively prevents exploitation... Happy to be dense bro.
