This is very strange logic.
4k will have mass market adoption by the time the next consoles come out:

These stastics closely resemble the revenue generated by gaming on the various platforms, I guess that's to be expected.
The gaming industry for consoles and PC are in very good health. Mobile gaming never rendered these plaforms obselete as once proposed by analysts.
If it wasn't for PC no game could ever be made. The original GTA was a PC game. So thank PC for GTA's existance in the first place, talk about delusional.
He's actually right there are diminishing returns as you get further away, so no human on this planet could see a difference between 900p (upscaled) and 1080p from TEN FOOT away on a 32" screen.. using a larger screen or closing the distance will vastly change that.
900p on my PC monitor looks horrible, but guess what, I'm TWO FOOT away. Here's a simple chart to illustrate:
Hard to beat getting chased through a forest by a T-Rex in pitch black. You also have to deal with the top predator (players) who have guns and dino armies. To use all the games features on PVP you'll need to be in a big tribe, for me, I use guerlla tactics of hit and run with many many small outposts.
80hours played and havn't even scratched the surface of things to do.
Also you can buy from other digital marketpalces, from the UK we can buy new titles (not on sale) from the US marketplace for £32. If setup with family sharing, as you've mentioned, you could potntially get 2 brand new AAA titles for £32... I stopped buying discs on console this generation for this very reason.
It sure will be nice to see my i7 usage in games go from 25%, to all four cores, literally a 300% boost. Keplar GPUs will get around 20% extra too, coupled with the stacking of the unused intergrated graphics (and multi-GPUs, for those guys).
DX12 consumer release is only one month away so it'll not be long for devs to start using the API, it's also not years away either as I've seen suggested. For example, the ARK devs said they'll be full DX12 by this fall...
Played with him in Killing Floor 2, not a bad guy just talks a little too much... probably due to recording. As far as watching his videos I'm not a fan. Credit to him though for making a good living from doing something he loves, obviously there are haters, but that's thier problem.
Haha thanks for the giggle, it's not like that's ever happened before :)
@Spartacus10 - So your response to me outlining as to why PC games are cheaper is to insult me. The irony being, you can blame you own stupidity if you didn't realise I was talking about RRP.
Look at newly relesed AAA games on a console digital store. The RRP is £55-£60, and on Steam it's £40.
I can go buy games cheaper in places other than Steam too you know, same as console (hell on console you can buy from another marketplace and g...
PC gaming is not more expensive. I spent £1500 over the past 2 years on a new console, games and subscriptions. In the same time I bought a new PC, got twice as many games and spent £800. Games preform better, are cheaper, free online and have loads of mods for replayability.
Can't build a PC? Buy a prebuilt which is genuinely good value...

Yes europeans in general are.

'Next-gen' 30fps, that's the real sad truth.
"gamer777 is citing mrXmedia"
"The PS4 maximum clock frequency is 2.75ghz"
I think you're closer to that groups mentality than you'd care know... please tell me what is that maximum clock frequency referring to?
I mean honestly, why comment if you genuinely have no clue about hardware? I'll give you a hint, it's not the CPU which gamer777 was talking about.
The others stating '50% more...
Haha sure even the exact same assets look and run better on PC.
+900million PC gamers, 120million Steam accounts, Steam most concurrent users +9million, PC gaming generates more revenue than all consoles combined since 2014, literally tens of thousands of games.
All evidence over the past decade shows a solid growth trend on PC. Lets just ignore that, PC is doomed because of some crap multiplatform PC ports.
Seriously, is this a joke?
Both companies believed that they could offload CPU tasks to the GPU. Which (with these cards) 3-4 years ago actually made sense.
GPU power has doubled year on year so
now GPUs twice as powerful are considered mid range. Still, at the end of the day Sony prepared better with a beefer GPU (coupled with a large amount of GDDR5).
With proper CPUs you'd think devs could have targeted 60fps more, but then the price would have went way up.

I look forward to steaming my PC games to my TV console, and other compatiable Windows 10 devices. It's also handy to have my decade worth of Xbox content baked into Windows 10.. the same platform on my phone, console, tablet, laptop and PC.
I'm all for this new all in one ecosytem, although I'm under no illusion.. the only reason MS is doing this (in relation to Xbox) is due to PC gaming revenue surpassing the combined consoles revenue in 2014.

You've got a point, although it's to be expected on a community driven site when one community is larger.
Side note: 4k 240fps doesn't exist yet. 4k monitors go up to 60hz, and 240hz 1080p monitors 'turbo boost' 120fps.
Plus shouldn't let it annoy you, it won't be too long before PC games will be streamable to XBO (if MS keeps clearing those top feedback requests). The growing populous term 'console exclusive' is set to g...
Yup, make a fair point that is not favourable towards a certain company.
OT: It clearly would be possible via online streaming or verification (similar to how MS does it), but I really don't see Sony investing in a feature that will kill thier paid streaming service.
Microsoft would not have released this feature if they had the 2:1 lead... These companies respect for you only extends as far as your wallet.
If I download a copy of Witcher 3 without paying and the copy has no DRM, am I a thief? (CDPR even refers to these non-paid downloads as pirating, but still NO DRM).
