Because the sales are biannual now and we know they're coming, I actually find the urge to splurge on these sales diminished. For instance, I really want RE6 and I see its $19.99 now. But I also bought a couple of other games and only get to game during the summer and winter break. So I figure by then, the deal will be even more enticing if I just wait.
Ok.
Don't buy what you don't need. Don't think you're going to finish all these games by Black Friday, then buy what you want now and wait till then to buy your next batch.
The fan wank for Steam Sales is insane. Do you people all just have money to throw away on games you'll never play just because they're on sale?
I'm enjoying how offended so many people are by this study.
Seriously, who cares other than the companies? And if you do honestly care about the statistics of women playing video games, why do you care? I would seriously like to know, because I've never once given a crap. Gamers are gamers to me.
1/10 really? So I guess it has nothing good about anything. Interesting, because the graphics at least look alright. And if the game can at least function, to say nothing of the fun factor, then a 1/10 is highly undeserved.
Reviewers suck at reviewing. Especially this reviewer.
The heck is this. He's asking for a free ride through college, for journalism of all things.
Give me free money so that I can complete my senior year of Chem. Eng. please.
Geez, I'm not defending tuition but requesting that someone else pays for your college. Well unless you're the next Einstein I don't believe you're worth it.
Freaking Blizzard. They've become about as lazy as 3D Realms was.
Oh hell yes. I was completely unaware of this. Day one for me.
blah vlah blah blah...
we game journalists demand to be taken seriously...
blah blahblah blah
That is exactly what we want!
Yes. The sun does revolve around me, after all.
I only ever buy a small handful of these games anyway. Why Steam feels the need to start the sale in the middle of summer instead of the beginning of summer break when I could game longer I don't know.
Yea, move Vampire The Masquerade up to the #3 position. Then your list is alright with me.
Signed. Bring it and REmake to PC too. It would never be uninstalled.
What the author of this article doesn't seem to understand is that even professionally, these studies are not highly regarded. For every one that does support the games/violence correlation, another comes along that disproves it.
They only gain attention because the media prefers to latch onto the negative studies, instead of a fair and balanced portrayal of the reality.
I hadn't realized that. I pretty much own every indie game I currently want and just assumed it was the same as last years, and even GOG's this year.
Yeah, I'm harping. But I really miss Ironside's voice.
For me, it's the complete lack of games. Nintendo spreads themselves too thin for me between their consoles and hand-helds. Now, see, if you made something like that old Gameboy Advance converter for Gamecube, but for the DS and Wii U, I'd have no problem buying their system.
Always Silent Hill this, Silent Hill that. Yea, I own all the soundtracks and SH2 and SH3 are in continuous rotation. But so is Contra Shattered Soldier, also by Akira. And also his my fave.
