Depends how good you are and if you want the true ending.
I think I beat it in about 4 hours, maybe 9 total for straight A rank and probably 11 to complete all the achievements.
But Deadpool is so keeewlll you guys! What is this 5/10 nonsense?
With inferior controls. Supposedly.
Anybody can do pixel art, but giving that art a sense of identity and style is not something anybody can do.
Further, your claim that real talent comes in the details which retro games can't display. Try playing Dreamweb one day. Or any text-adventure. They tend to be more detailed than any graphically impressive game has ever been.
This is why games journalism is retarded. Every review that puts this game at an 8/10 echo the sentiment that the game is dull, repetitive, etc.
But OMG, it's Deadpool and he's sooo keewl you guys! Let our hyperbole riddled brain spew forth praise because they at least got the character right!
Obviously. But not without the Games For Windows Live service.
I don't understand why it's lazy. They saw inspiration in Ellen Page and so modeled Ellie after her, even going so far as to give her a similar name.
Just give me Halo 1,2,3, and Reach on PC. I've played them on Xbox already but would love to revisit them in the future without having to reinvest in some broke-ass piece of hardware.
What's the big deal. I'd be flattered. But celebrities often don't think like that. Everything comes at a price with them, even compliments.
There is no argument here. PC's win hands down. A quality PC build can last you an entire generation. After that, upgrading the graphics card is more than enough to get your PC through a 2nd console generation.
That said, I don't get why people worship one over the other. In the end it's about the games you enjoy playing. Consoles will never compare with a PC but who honestly cares and if you do then why?
1999 mode isn't that bad. Try Dead Space 3 hardcore mode if you want annoying difficulty.
I usually set all my games straight to hardest available difficulty. Anything less is such a pathetic breeze these days.
Hell yes. But bring back the John Carpenter-ish style. Manhunt 1 is forever replayable due to the style alone.
Violence is appropriate in any game about survival if you want to play that contextual game.
The violence in Doom is appropriate considering you're fighting for you life, for example.
Most gamers and especially reviewers don't have a clue what it means to be mature. They have this very narrow idea of what it means to be mature in a game and fail to recognize (in most cases, never even experienced) many titles throughout the 90's that delivered maturity in spades.
I have no idea who any of these people are and I don't really care.
There are plenty of quality games out there that don't involve killing. Stop bitching and look harder and you might discover one of these many, many gems.
I can just as easily skip from Mario Sunshine to Manhunt so I don't see what this douche is crying about.
To each their own. I personally thought God of War 3 was boring. But I can be easily swayed by fantastic architecture to overlook occasionally mundane gameplay.
More of the same is fine if, say, they're 3 games in a trilogy. But my philosophy is after that, it's time to seriously rethink your game design otherwise things get lame real fast.
That said, 1st game was fantastic. I hope this can at least live up to it. Also, it's on PC now!!! YAY!!
Bring back what magic? The horrible writing that has plagued all three of Quantic Dream's past games? The terrible gameplay of 2/3's Quantic Dream's past games?
Hell, if you're reading this and you're in the states, Hotline Miami is currently $3.33 on gog.com until the days end here.
