That's such nonsense. If not given the choice to carry them, then it is no different from watching a movie. It isn't YOU, because YOU have no say in what determines the characters actions.
Mario Galaxy was a huge step backward for the series. I could beat that game blindfolded if I wanted to.

True, most games are trite. But the JRPG's have a tendency to go into a triteness overload. Any other genre of games that comes out of Japan seem to escape this.
Anyway, I'm just voicing my opinion. Don't take it as an insult or anything meaningful.
Why I've Never Played FF VII
Because it is a JRPG and they are 99% trite and retarded.
The only exceptions I guess would be Vagrant Story, Parasite Eve I & II, and Legend of Dragoon. And some strange desire to play Final Fantasy XII.
It's really amusing. Of course it is the future, it's is just a matter of time for console gamers. I don't honestly understand why they're so obsessed with having a physical copy of their games but you can bet that after this coming generation, more and more console gamers will use the digital services. PC gamers... well, we're already converted.
I give it one more generation after next before consoles are nothing but digital distribution.

Steam and Origin for the big company titles, GOG for all the rest. If GOG had the same exact titles as Steam I wouldn't think twice about dropping it.

Man, I can't imagine this reviewer ever being able to stomach anything but the most politically correct of sci-fi novels.
And the game's combat is Witcher 2 minus spell casting. If you had your ass handed to you, it's because you sucked. I had no trouble running through Hard mode other than the first mole cave.
