Kane and Lynch 2 was absolutely superb for me. I loved how the "plot" was essentially pointless, but in a good way. It was just a slice of life for these two characters. And the ending was plain brilliant.
You know, I played the original and thoroughly enjoyed it but never once thought it needed a sequel. Now there's what, 3 or 4 sequels and they've all been junk. Who keeps supporting the stuff?

I didn't play Max Payne 3 "safe" either. I don't know how you played, but I was in bullet time 90% of the game while focusing on headshots. Pretty much the entire point of NY Minute.

Stranglehold is the only good one of the bunch. In some respects it was even better than Max Payne 3, and that's saying a lot.
That sucks. I was looking forward to playing it.
I thought this was hitting PC too. Hopefully it's a bit less than $49.99 there. Unless this game offers much more than a simple Valiant Heroes style I won't be paying that much for it.

The boss fights in this series became progressively worse. That Snowbeast in DS3 was annoying. That said, I think DS3 is much better than DS2 everywhere but the art department. For some reason, DS3 decided on making all the environments and character designs really uninteresting.
At least there wasn't anything as piss poor as that orbital elevator level with the tripods in DS2.
